Nade throws are just short of grenade throws. Just toss a grenade in the pelican but do not press x or your mission will end. I assume it doesn't matter what kind of grenade you throw in there. So you know when you play any FPS online i.e. Rainbow Six 3, Splinter Cell: PT, and soon on Halo 2 you will hear nade throws quite often so its always good to get caught up on the lingo so you don't sound too much like a NOOB when you start playing online.

hahaha......ok, right as you are getting ready to get off the pelican, pull the L trigger and that makes you throw a grenade (doesnt matter which grenade either) and it also cancels the exiting of the pelican making you stay in it. if you dont know the rest it goes like this. after the pelican flies away and then lands on top of the hill (or whatever you want to call it) get out by pressing X, then turn around and start walking towards the front of the pelican (that general direction). make sure you stay up there till you see the complex where you need to go (it should be below you). jump down to the entrence and a whole bunch of covenant should run out with assualt riffle fire behind them. keep going and if you get there quick enough you should see a AR sitting in the air shooting (its toward the entrence on the right side next to the wall). you have to get there somewhat quick after you triggered the covenant running out thing because the gun will disappear

also nade is just short for grenade
