Personally, that thing hindered me more then helped me... And I'd rather do it on my own as well... In other words, I'd rather see it removed...

Heck yes... I was trying to throw a freakin' frag grenade last night from hiding (I'm a stealthy fighter) on legendary at a cluster of Flood. The infectious forms kept dragging my reticle down towards the ground when I was going for a bank shot off of a wall. I ended up blowing myself to ribbons three times before I managed to hit the spot I was aiming for and I'm famed among my group for consistantly making the plasma tag at fifty yards.

I don't notice it at all, but I imagine it'd be much harder without it.

I wish they would add the option to turn it off. Its hard to notice sometimes in Halo, but when you do notice it's because you're fighting it trying to aim. Just the other day on Assault on the Control Room on heroic I think it was I almost died because of it. I jumped over a jackal to shoot an elite with the assault rifle but then the aiming assistance kicked in and wanted to target a grunt instead. Had to with the analog stick to keep the elite targeted.

I've actually tested it in multiplayer, and when if an enemy walks close to you and slow enough (at a decent speed still) you will actually turn to keep him in your sights without doing anything.
