I swear the vegetarians in this thread have weak arguments and have accomplished nothing. Every time they create an argument it gets pummeled by a bunch of users and shows how well they clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

Can we just lock this? I swear these vegetarians are giving me the impression they are all this stupid and ignorant.

Just because they pound it with arguments doesn't mean that they're arguments are any more valid. They seem a lot less valid, and the points put forth by the vegetarians are much better in my opinion, especially considering the overwhelming majority are meat eaters in here.

Humans are very capable killers, we are designed to kill, so well in fact that killing is what makes us the apex predator of the world, not because we are hard to kill (we are rather easy), so why is it that it is harshly frowned upon to kill another human being? Because it is universally known that it is morally wrong.

Just because we can kill animals, doesn't mean it's right to do so.

Morals differ from place to place? Is capital punishment morally correct? In Texas it is, in Canada it's not. But you see killing animals is morally correct all around the world. Sure some animals are protected by religious beliefs or medical concerns, but in general killing animals has no negative effect on a persons morals.

no its only morally unacceptable because it goes against our instincts to continue our species, you know what else agrees with our insticts? efficiently killing and harvesting food to continue our species survival, its illogical to steer away from eating meat, its unatural to survive off of diets that must be supplemented with nutrition only obtainable by eating meat.

It's far from efficient.

Again, we're omnivores. We are not specialist eaters. We're not efficient at eating vegetation either.

Your main argument against meat eating is that we don't have a full set of carnivorous teeth. Guess what? We don't have a full set of herbivorous teeth either. We lack a diastema for one.

No, but it has been proven that cats don't kill most of their prey for food or out of instinct.

Firstly, evidence. Secondly, if they're not killing for food or due to instinct then I imagine they're killing either for training or to keep numbers down. If it's for training then that's logical. If it's to keep numbers down, again that's logical.

Take emotions out of this and it's quite simply illogical to avoid meat intentionally.

Nope, they just kill for the hell of it, playing around with the victim, which also shows intelligence since that might also mean they are inquisitive.

It's kind of like a serial killer. S/he might of killed for a reason, but now does it because he gets something out of it, something profanely fun that we cannot fathom.

It is bloodlust. a mental thing. They taste it, they don't have alot of it, so they want more.

The reason it is harshly frowned upon for a human to kill another human is because its CANNIBALISM. CANNIBALISM is morally wrong to us. Any type of it is frowned upon whether it be humans eating other humans or fish eating other fish.Keep the arguments coming i can shoot them down all night while eating the meatloaf i just made.

Morality aside, human meat is not very nutritious for other humans.

Don't be fooled; there's actually a difference between vegetarians who don't eat meat because they care about animals/want to live healthier lifestyles and those who do it just to feel superior and insult others who don't follow them.

It's cause they are not eating meat. But seriously, they're arguments are extremely vague and one sentenced.
Exactly, they fail to commit to any argument where they lose, but still seem to boast their superiority like they have any clue what they're talking about. They make it so apparent they are experts at not wanting to understand for the fear of being wrong. Their personalities just seem sickening. Not eating meat is entirely subjective anyways

Life. Plants are living, breathing creatures. They flourish and expand. They will often invade the territory of other plants, much like a human would, yet you seem to love eating plants, so who are YOU to put a value on a life?

It is frowned upon because it goes against our natural instincts to keep our species alive.

There is absolutely no reason why we should eat meat from an evolutionary or 'natural' perspective either.
The robust Australopithecines probably went extinct because there wasn't enough meat in their diet to support their heavy bodies. Meat is much higher in calories than vegetables and was absolutely necessary for our species' evolution.

Our bodies are not designed to.
How do you explain canine teeth?
