Bad argument, just because I can kill someone with a trophy with ease doesn't mean I can buy it in a weapon store. Being able to do something and being designed to do something are two different things.

1. we have forward facing eyes. Very similar to lions, tigers, dogs, cats Etc.

2. We have both canines (used to tear into meat) and molars, used for grinding down grains, veggies, fruits Etc.

3. We have enzymes specifically made to break down meat, as well as plants.

4. Cattle can eat grass, we however cannot, we do not have the enzymes to break down cellulose, (grass as in the kind you see cattle eat, not wheat.)

5. Our body does not reject meat or plants (save a few), we may eat either as we see fit.

so we can either be vegetarians or omnivores. Thats how I see it. And thats how God saw fit to put us as.

I concede the point that we aren't designed to eat meat, but I still stand firm that whether we are designed to or not, we don't have to.

You say, who are we to determine life. Who are you to determine why we kill? Your arguments have been shot down constantly, faster than a 757 with a huge-ass magnet on its wings.

If I kill, I kill. I've hunted countless times, and I'm not even an adult. I hunted for food. To survive.

Don't believe me? Prove this wrong: if there is one thing humans are good at, it's killing other living things.

They haven't been shot down constantly. There have been a number of good arguments put forth, but I haven't seen my arguments been destroyed as you suggest.

Check back through the thread, I was the first to say that. It was to illustrate my point that because we were so good at killing doesn't mean we have to (to counter an, "We can eat it, so we should it" argument)

If you look back through the thread, you will see that we have successfully countered all of your arguments, both morally and scientificly(sp?). Not to mention my statement, on us being able to kill other things quite well, means this:

Why would we be so good at it if we don't need to? Evolution gave us the tools to survive and hunt like a predator.

Everytime you eat a plant, you kill it.

I like to eat meat, and see nothing wrong with it. I am the top of the food chain, so everything should go to me.

This includes vegetables and fruits, mind you.

Because I am an OMNIVORE.

I eat them because I want to. Same reason I eat other forms of life. (Vegetation)

It's that simple. In the grand scheme of life it doesn't matter if something dies alone, terrified, or in a horrible way. Because then it's dead, and it no longer feels, and that means in itself that it doesn't matter if it ever felt love, or fear, or pain in it's life.

I am a cold, heartless monster in a way. In the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter either. I don't care how a living creature feels. If if dies, and it's edible then I will enjoy its meat. We are multi-cell organisms, plants, and animals a like. The only difference is that we feel pain, when plants don't, but again... I don't care.

There, OP. Do you like my answer?

Well nothing matters in the grand scheme of things.

But if everyone thought that way, we'd never have any good. It's a pointless way of thinking.

But I do like your answer, you basically agree with me, but say it doesn't matter anyway!

I wasn't intending to disagree with you. I am not even taking a side. Stop trying to be so smart. I simplified it in it's crudest form. Nothing more.

I know that a vegetarian diet is the healthiest way to go, and the more efficient way as well. One day this planet will be so full of humans we WILL have to switch to a vegetarian diet with only the most wealthiest of us being able to have meat in their diet.

Again. I'm telling you to stop caring. Because you can't convince men to switch their diet. Unless they are weak-minded. Or have compassion. I'm not either.

Also you're wrong about it being pointless if everyone thought that way because no good would come of things. I for one won't do bad things all my life 24/7 because bad things in the grand-scheme are as meaningless as good natured things. Thus I just do what's easier. As in if it's bad, and easy I will do it. If it's good natured, and the easy way I will do this as well. That's just natural, but most people choose to have a high sense of morality like you.

Fair point. I agree with you.

What I don't see, is how people can pretend to themselves and others, how eating meat for lust (or enjoyment or whatever) can be justified.

I don't expect people to stop, but thank you.

How many people have said that?

It's not morally right to kill an animal for the sake of lust (not survival).[/quote]

Idiot.

Lust, noun

# Intense or unrestrained 53xu4l craving.
1. An overwhelming desire or craving: a lust for power.
2. Intense eagerness or enthusiasm: a lust for life.
# Obsolete. Pleasure; relish

There will never be a meat shortage! haha! Have you ever seen one of those huge trucks hauling thousands of chickens!? It isn't hard to breed millions upon millions of animals. More humans means more openings for people to breed animals for eating.

No, it's not. I don't know why I'm bothering, but just because you do something after you've murdered it, doesn't make it not murder.

It's murder, because you don't need to kill it. You don't need to eat it, (proven by vegetarians).
