I don't know if you ever saw that video a few years back, of the pig that was killed by a chainsaw.

Well, guess what they were convicted of?

And if I saw that video, I would be in the mood for bacon afterwards.

Makes everything you've said on morality invalid, because you're clearly heartless.

Yes I'm heartless. To ANIMALS. ANIMALS MEANT TO BE EATEN.

Excuse me for NOT ELEVATING ANIMAL LIFE to that of a HUMAN LIFE.

It's still life.

And? It's not human life. I don't care. I care about plants cause they give me oxygen. I care about people because I intract with them and they are on my level. I care about animals cause they give me food and that's it.

So what if it's life? It isn't human life, so I don't care as long as it gets in my body.

O.o

Step 1: Look in mirror
Step 2: Touch the pointy teeth
Step 3: look at a OMNIVORE's mouth
Step 4: Realize that your mouth is similar, to a meat/plant eaters.

Dude, that's not any more proof than I presented.
How so?

It's merely an argument. And I provided counter-arguments, such as the appendix and the fact that for canine teeth, they are very inneffective.

Appendix used to process plant matter which invalidates your point and proves ours.

No it doesn't. The appendix was to prove that, things aren't always needed.

And it is undoubted that the human body is better at digesting vegetation than meat. But I can't argue, it is capable of digesting both.

useless

What would become our major source of protein if we ceased to eat meat?

Humans have been eating meat since even the primitive stages of life. To stop meat eating would be to deprive humans of their right to prey upon the weaker animals.

Appendix isn't needed cause we don't eat that type of plants. We still have use for canine teeth.

Somebody said I was acting superior. The meat eaters are such hypocrites.

God?

Religion does not provide a sense of morality, but an obedience to authority.

Join Secular Sevens - A group for atheists, free thinkers, skeptics or theists looking for a good debate.

Let me sum up the current argument of the OP in this thread:

We don't have to eat meat to survive, although we are still omnivores we don't need to eat meat and anyone that chooses to eat meat is doing so because he or she 'lusts' for it. The OP believes that killing animals for the purpose of eating them is wrong.

But that is in fact his subjective view and is not any better than someone that believes that not eating meat is morally wrong. The fact of the matter is this argument is stupid since the OP doesn't understand the fact that his views on whether eating meat is right or wrong is completely subjective and therefore is not better than anyone elses'.

But one could use other definitions of the words 'right' or 'wrong' in a more objective manner (rather than from a moral view) that is correct or incorrect. We are in fact omnivores (this is an irrefutable fact) and thus are eating meat and plants is correct and is thus right.

I just checked, Beans and rice could make up a large amount of proteins.

Yea probs, but it's prob more efficient to get it from animal flesh.

I've already conceded that...

Beans and rice can make up the protein, but actual meat has amino acids which the body needs that only meat can provide btw.

Also, if the debate is a morality issue, then no one will win. Everyone has different morals, so there is not point in debating it.

No it's not better at digesting plants, again, WE ARE NOT SPECIALIZED EATERS!!

That variable is very dependent. Please try not to speak for all. You are only one. =]

The killing is fast and efficient. The animals don't suffer.
And we can't just eat vegetables/fruits/not meats with spices. Eating meat is a social thing, as well.

No, I know it's subjective, but I also know that subjective or not, it's still wrong.

Just like you could call the Holocaust subjective, it's still wrong.

Seeing how humans have eaten meat since we first came into existance, the whole hunting and eating meat thing was a trend that happened to stick around.

Other animals eat meat. We're animals. We can eat meat.

If you decide not to, it won't make any difference or "save" any animals. We're killing them anyway, and we will always kill them, and we will always eat them.

actually..... no. The majority of the world view the holocaust as wrong. Yet I'm sure there are some who believe it was good.
