Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I've got no problem whatsoever with anyone who makes a personal and conscious decision to alter their lifestyle or eating habits for health or ethical reasons. I see no reason to question, doubt or challenge their personal decision(s).

I would simply appreciate if the courtesy was returned.

our teeth are meant to eat both meat and plants or else we would have teeth like a horse or a cow rather than a combination, and its more rich in energy, and easier to digest. humans are specifically designed by evolution to eat both meat and plants.

vegetarians need to deal with the fact that we can eat both without consequence. and however much they cry and whine about animal rights its not going to change because thats how this planet has worked for millions and millions of years small animals are eaten by larger animals and larger animals die and are eaten by scavengers.

tl;dr
DEAL WITH IT. don't force a life decision on me because you see fit to do so.

1. and do you advocate eating plant based products without garnishes?
2. we are evolved to eat meat. our teeth are designed for cutting into it (canines / incisors), our stomachs contain pepsin, an enzyme which breaks down proteins, and the squirt of enzymes in the pancreas also contain protein breakers.
3. that was supposed to be a poem? song lyric? regardless, it is total crap.

Can you eat meat raw and stay healthy?

No, just like you can't drink lake water without boiling it.

Meat is good. I tried eating just fruits and vegetables and ended up feeling thin, weak, and always tired.

Then you're not doing it right.
Wyldfyre, get out. I've seen you in these types of threads, all you do is flame meat eaters.

Because you're all either:

Scorpianstrike-"Everything is possible the impossible just takes longer."

Seems to me that it is necessary. Theres already a lot of trouble feeding the world, wouldn't eliminating meet make it even harder? It is also healthy. But it is your choice if you choose not to eat meat and i respect that.

Actually people eat meat for its nutrients and availability. There is meat good enough out there that you just cook it right with no seasonings or salt and its delicious. I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but our bodies are actually made to eat meat it is why we have canine teeth.

I'll repeat myself, we are not designed to eat meat, we are capable of eating cooked meat, but no, it's scientifically accepted that we aren't designed for eating meant.

Meat-eaters: have claws
Herbivores: no claws
Humans: no claws

Meat-eaters: have no skin pores and perspire through the tongue
Herbivores: perspire through skin pores
Humans: perspire through skin pores

Meat-eaters: have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding
Herbivores: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding
Humans: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Meat-eaters: have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly
Herbivores: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.
Humans: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Meat-eaters: have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat
Herbivores: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater
Humans: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Meat-eaters: salivary glands in mouth not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits.
Herbivores: well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits
Humans: well-developed salivary glands, which are necessary to pre-digest, grains and fruits

Meat-eaters: have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Herbivores: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Humans: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

We kill them fast and painlessly.

I hope that was sarcasm..........

I've seen the slaughterhouses that kill the animals my stores get meat from and been to the farms.

They live a perfectly fine life, and die a quick painless death. I have no problems with eating meat.

We are designed to be Omnivores, so I will continue to eat a well balanced diet of grain, fruits and vegetables, dairy, and meats, as out lined by the Canadian Food Guide distributed by Health Canada.

I also follow the slight alteration, as recommended by my gastroenterologist and a nutritionist, of slightly higher, about 1.5x the recommended amount of, red meat intake.

Edit: Also the list the OP keeps posting wreaks of lies and propaganda.

Cows are more harmful to the environment than a Hummer because of all the methane they give off, I'm saving the planet one cow at a time.
All the cows in the world are more harmful than one Hummer. However, if you compare just one cow to a hummer, the Hummer is more environmentally harmful as CO2 lasts longer in the stratosphere than Methane which only lasts 10 years.

(Meant to type lake water, by the way. River water is at least partially consumable)

Completely owned.

A lot of people eat raw meat. Not everyone who does it dies. The same logic applies to plants. There can be parasites and bacteria in plants just as there can be parasites and bacteria in meat. That logic is intensely stupid, and thus negates your "owned" assertion.

Actual Fact: Eating meat, and thus gaining the protein strain needed to develop dexterity and brain matter and centers made your ancestors more capable of critical thought. Its because your ancestors ate meat that you're cognate enough to question the morality of eating meat.

Again I'm not saying there's something wrong with not wanting to eat meat. It just annoys me when people get all judgmental and conjure inane reason to justify their totally optional philosophy.

Because you're all either:
A/ -blam!- stupid
or
B/ -blam!- ignorant
Do animals (ones that I eat, eg chickens, cows, pigs, fish) have metacognitive abilities I am ignorant of? If not, please stop generalizing and being hypocritical (in the fact that you generalized, which is an ignorant and/or stupid thing to do).

Really, if an animal is not capable of metacognition and self-awareness, there is no difference between the animal and a plant and a rock.

We are. We're omnivores. We have digestive systems capable of handling both meat and vegetation without specialising in one or the other.

If we were meant to be strictly herbivores, we would be able to get all the nutrition we need from grazing. Guess what? We can't.
