I'm bored of this thread now. This is my last post here. You're all arguing over pointless things. People have opinions. People have views. For example, I struggle to understand how people can believe in an invisible floating thing which watches us from afar, judging our every action. I enjoy eating meat, and yes, my Christmas dinner today was delicious. In the end, it really doesn't matter. Life goes on. Life ends. Just leave it at that and accept that things aren't always going to go your way. Just because you think it's wrong, it doesn't make it wrong. In the grand scheme of things, as a result of all of this chain of chance events, we are where we are. We can't change our past, no matter how hard we try. Our future is in our hands, sure, but it's not going to make a difference whether we kill a few cows or not. Sooner or later, the Sun will burn out, and anything left on this planet will freeze to death, or suffocate.
We all die. All of us. Even the animals we live alongside. Everything ends. Just get on with it while you can, and don't spend your life moaning.
Merry Christmas.
I'm not religious btw. A few cows? More like 1.3 billion.I retract my statement about that being my last post.
Ever heard of sarcasm? I know we've killed billions of defenseless animals, but guess what? I don't care. Life goes on. The world keeps on spinning. I'm not one who would willingly kill a defenseless animal, but when I don't have to think about how I got the meat on my plate, it doesn't matter to me. In fact, I hate the sight of raw meat. It makes me feel uneasy. Yet, I love to eat it when it's cooked. It doesn't resemble a cow at all, so I'm happy to eat it. My eyes tell me it's a bit of brown. My nose tells me it smells good. My mind tells me it's OK to eat it, so guess what? I do.
If you've really got a problem with people killing animals, then by all means feel free to sod off to another planet and live off grass. Just don't expect anyone else to care.
