You cannot exaggerate about the Marines. They are convinced to the point of arrogance, that they are the most ferocious fighters on earth- and the amusing thing about it is that they are.

Am I the only person who was dissatisfied with the ending of Halo 3? I am all for dramatic affect but leaving the protoninst of this epic series to float endlessly in space and maybe touch down on some planet(legendary Ending)just seems wrong... Does anyone else think so?

No, I am quite satisfied because I know that something will tell the story of our beloved Master Chief landing on this planet with Cortana and discovering a bunch of secrets whether it be a book, movie, or worst case scenario a game.

I disagree... if it be a game im up for it. It would be nice to play as the chief again and the closure that one would get from seeing it through till the end would be, in my opinion, the best possible route. My second option would be a book. But Nylund should write it. His books were the best of the series.

The reason I think a game would be worst case is there would be little to no combat making the game nothing but mindless walking and exploration.

What I think would happen is that side of the ship he was on will float aimlessly in space until it becomes abosrbed into Reach's orbit, and Chief begins to kill Brute forces that are trying to rebuild the Covenant empire.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

It was destroyed when their sun went supernova after the Reformists fled in the Dreadnaught.

why not just set it on the Shell of Onyx... He could find Dr. Halsey and the others and they could find a way home...

We believe that the universe is unbounded: this is not the same as infinite: the 2-D surface of a sphere, wrapped around a 3rd dimension, has a finite size, but has no end. If you start off in a given direction on the surface of a sphere, you could return to your start point without having to turn around -- you simply go all the way around. But wouldn't that mean the universe has an escape velocity like the earth?

The Legendary Planet is not Onyx.

I definitely agree that Nylund's books were the best. No contest.

The ending was quite great. The first time I played through I was sad to know "Master Chief died".

Later my friend showed me the ending after the credits and was injoy that he actually lived.
