I am getting sick and tired of seeing how much the Halo PC Community accuses others for using an aimbot. This might be surprising to people out there (You know who you are) that diss Halo 2 PC, but, I see it more on the original Halo. The only reason I'm telling the story I am posting after this is because on Halo 2 you can see Hit percentages:

Well, I got on Halo 2 just a moment ago and as soon as I dropped in someone was being accused of using an aimbot. First person I fought against was said person. The first shot he took, he completely missed me. In fact, he missed a few times, but, over all, in Halo 2's standards, he was pretty good. I defended him (Being someone who has been accused many times of the same thing) in saying he wasn't using one. The guy kept ranting and if I wouldn't have been there, he would have been banned from the server.

His Shots Hit Percentage was 42%. There was even someone else that had a higher percentage than he had.

What I'm trying to say is: If you're on Halo 1 or 2 PC and someone is killing you so badly you feel as though it's your first time playing, don't immediately accuse them of cheating. They might actually just be good. Don't make accusations without actual evidence.

(P.S. If you consider the Aim Assist from using a controller to be cheating/an aimbot, it's not. A mouse is a much better aiming device and the aim assist tries to improve the controller's ability to put it on par with a mouse. I play console Halo as well and I've played Halo 2 with a 360 controller. I'm far better with the KB/M)

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I know you are going to get flamed...

But a lot of people in Custom Ed aimbot too. It's harder to tell though, due to almost all the public 1.09 aimbots being the shift key bots by people like PingoCE or Rainman116/SmG Cloud, where you hold Shift and it turns for you with lead. You can sightjack them though.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

I haven't run across any botters since over a year ago. Since then, I've been accused of using one a few times. I always tell them that they got the second letter in that word wrong; It should be an "e".

Ha! I love it. I've got to use that now.

I get what you mean, but what I'm trying to say is that you should never make an accusation without proof. If you can't sightjack or prove some other way they are aimbotting, then don't make the accusation.

This is an example of it happening to me on Halo Custom Edition: http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/4319/31170974.jpg (Yes, I used to go by "xXSairinXx" on Halo PC)

You can easily see why he would think that I had one, but, if he would have sightjacked he would have realized that I don't. If I didn't have this happen to me I would have definitely thought that someone scoring that much higher would have to be cheating, but, in reality, they just weren't playing well. Half of them were standing still at times in a Pistols No Shields game. When they were actually moving they moved in straight lines. To someone that has been playing this game for 9 years it's hard NOT to shoot them in the head.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

You're playing with a bunch of kids, what do you expect?

Most of them don't know what sightjacker is anyway.

Just say, "SJ me or stfu" then ignore their further crying because you can't win the argument with stupids.

Yep, I see people in my server accuse people of hacking, but sightjacking shows they have something the whiners don't: Skillz.

As for the "Nice Aimbot x", it's a default crappy SAPP script. And sapp scripts = annoying.

Ah okay, so I'm guessing the script just looks for people who are beating others by a large amount?

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

The manual says nothing about leading shots to deal with crappy net code. You fire endlessly and get nowhere, while someone in the know 3sk's the whole server. That's one reason why.

Yeah, if you get more then 50 kills, it triggers it, and more then 500 it bans you. Just look at the bottom of this page. Someone was a n00b and copied the default script.

So, simply put, if I win then I get called a cheater.... Hmm, it's like there is an actual server host!!!
