Do you think people who get into chapter/clan wars are too serious about the matter? Provide a reason to backup your vote please.

Hahahahahahahahaahahahahaha! All you have to wrry about if you're in a clan is that you don't go into another clan. Ahhahahahaahahaahaha!!! See, if I'm going into a clan, then I wouldn't laugh like that now would I? Bwahahahahahahahaha!!

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Some people who are in chapters/clans are extremely serious. Serious enough to send spies out and gather "intelligence." I'm serious about my clan, but I wouldn't do something as stupid as that.

I think that considering most of the people in the Classifieds and such have no idea what it actually takes to run a clan correctly - then Yes -- they are being way too serious.

A few of them have actually played on XBC - and I respect them for putting out the effort -- but most have not -- and most are in for a rude awakening when it comes down to playing someone online...

Case in point -- I will not mention names here -- BUT, I looked at one of these clans sites a couple of days ago, and their 'rules' were a page of 2 or 3 commandment type rules...
Always listen to the leader, always do this etc....

The Horitsu(The Law) of my Clan took me 4 days to flesh out the basics of and evolved over a week of debate and input -- and is no less than 5 pages of small type. There is something that doesn't jive here...

I have since disbanded my clan because of an impending move to New Jersey, but I still retain the rights to the Clan Name and Horitsu.

Clans are for a group of people to play together as a team. There shouldn't be a huge level of organizing. The clan leader need to be able to organize wars and such, and be able to find out what members can make it when. The members just need to be able to practice and have free time to play when needed.

I have also read the rules for several clans, and they're way too serious. The number of rules they have and the extreme level or organization just won't work once you try to implement them. I have been a clan leader in several games, and have made that mistake before. I now know that you need to be more relaxed when playing. Also, when you lose a clan war, don't get so mad about it. remember, it's a game. Enjoy it. It's good to be competative, but not to the extreme. I feel sorry for a lot of these people who are starting up clans for xbl but have never been leaders before. They're clans will not make it far til they learn how to do it.
