Hey all, as many of you are working to get the number of players on Halo CE to rise, I decided to try out the game. Unfortunately, while installing the game something gets screwed up. Here is what setup tells me when this happens:

"Setup failed to extract files from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Cab1.CAB. This is most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or a corrupted cabinet file. Please restart your machine and run setup again."

So it gets to 32%, then it says this, and uninstalls everything it has done so far.
I use a real product key, downloaded the setup from halomaps.org which should have the right version, and emptied my taskbar of everything besides the installer (however I don't know how to do that fancy mode where you close off other programs that are just normal for XP).

If someone knows how I could work this out, please reply!

Low memory or a corrupted cabinet file...hm...

Defrag your drives? Uh...get a new memory card? I have no idea what that would be...

I suppose it would have something to do with your internal memory? Computer specs would help some. You could try downloading the setup once more, it could be a corrupted install file...

Either you don't have enough harddrive space, something is eating your RAM, or you have a corrupted download. Try downloading it again.
