I know this is not a new topic but I still think bungie should add co-op
as we know (mods, please dont use this against me) but on xbox it was one of the best parts of the game, same with the marathon series why can't it also befor halo pc?

and also off topici think you should be able to pick up hunter fuel rod cannons when you kill hunters

Co-op simply won't work. Firstoff, the game is 4 years old. Secondly, Halo's netcode, simply put, sucks. It won't support a decent game of Multiplayer, not even touching co-op...

I think Doom has PC co-op, but that was because it was designed for PC to begin with. Halo, on the other hand, was a port of a successful (sp?) Xbox game.

Oh, and I think we'd all like one of those FRGs in campaign...

of course halo was going to be a pc game before microsoft bought bungie then it became an xbox game THEN became a pc game, some one should study their bungie history

and the way you say it, halo pc dosnt have mp but it dose, just not co-op

Long, long ago (just before HaloPC came out) Shishka wrote an article on what to expect from Halo on the PC/Mac, including why co-op online is tough. You may want to have a look.

Hey! For Halo CE, i have made a version of The Pillar Of Autumn with all the BSP switches, it just needs the teleporting, then it can be fully compatible. Then i can add the ai from the original. Only problem is that the full map is >128 Mb which is not allowed by tool. I can, however, devide each map into two maps, and retain all of the stuff you need to play the entire game.
Basicaly, i have what can be considered an online version of a sp map. Just it doesnt have the AI and such yet.

Just get the full tagset then recompile the maps, after opening them in Kornman00v2. AI, Scripts, eveything. It just won't sync online so its not very co-opable.

So you mean your going to make CE maps based on the campaign of Halo and make it playable on-line? Great idea, although, I have downloaded a map from halomaps.com and got C20, a single player map for CE, and I couldn't play on line. Well, great idea. You might as well fulfill someone's dream for Halo.
