Lots of games and movies copy each other. It's a custom that will never change.

I like the Mk V armor.

Brains=Protogravmind
Robot Arm Lieutenant(Name)=Johnson, Stacker

The ships are familiar, but Halo's are more compact and heavy. Otherwise, nothing.

Then we got alien.
Black Sergent=Johnson
Aliens=Elites plus Flood, but flood are way better versions
Ripley is the female version of John with a personality and a -blam!- annoying voice.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

We need to go deeper.

Message me if you want, I will try to get back as soon as possible.

See you on the forums and in the games.

Inspired by for sure. By no means did it copy it though.

Exact science, is not an exact science.

Do you mean the Novel or the Movie?

It is obvious that Halo borrows and absorbs lots of popular science fiction, Heinlein book is a very political book disguised as fiction, the fascist undertone is really the driving force behind the story.

Halo has a United Nations message mixed with the romance of Forerunner Architecture.

Hopefully we will get a better insight into the backstory from Greg Bears new Forerunner trilogy.

P.S. Cinematically Halo is more Aliens mixed with 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Exact science, is not an exact science.

Really speaking Aliens was the first occasion that we got "Space Marine" of any substance up there on the big screen.

The Starship Troopers Novel is full of Military references and even a powered suit that drops into combat (these were omitted from the film) and 2000 A.D.s Rogue Trooper borrowed heavily from the mythos too.

As I stated it is all there in some form or other and has been present in all forms of Science fiction all of the artists and designers that work on Halo have absorbed the influences and have created an interesting landscape for us all to explore.

I'm thinking more inspiration from Aliens. Apone=Johnson, though Apone dies pretty quick. the aliens are more like the flood than elites. Elites are more like predators.
