On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

How do spartans customize their armor. I mean, the UNSC wouldn't just say: OK, heres some money, change your armor. Like Noble Team, they have a lot of customized armor. I have never read the books so could someone explain this to me.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

They picked it off fallen spartans.

"Question. Which Spartan is best?"
"That's a ridiculous question."
"False. Master Chief."
"Well, that's debatable. There are basically two schools of thought."
"Spartans shoot Sangheili. Spartans. Sangheili.....Battle Star Galactica."

I believe they'd just requisition some armor, go through some paper work, eventually get denied or approved. I'm also guessing that the UNSC would distribute to them different parts to better outfit them for their missions/roles in the unit. For instance, it would make sense to issue Jun those shoulder things that have sniper bullets attached. Jorge got that nifty machine-gun, because he was good with it. His armor is pretty buff, because he's the heavy weapons guy. Takes a lot of fire.

I'm just wondering how upset the UNSC was when they saw what Emile did to his helmet -- which I'm guessing cost a pretty penny!

Think about it like a tinted window, the outside sees the tint while you see clear. It isn't that difficult to understand.

But if you scratch the HELL out of that window, two things will happen.

1.) You won't be able to see out very well.
2.) You're going to weaken the structural stability of the visor.

Now, if all of the helmets are like the GUNGNIR helmet, and a series of cameras display surroundings on the INSIDE of the helmet, then that would be a different story. One could scratch it all up and still see.

Inside another dead body. It's the last place they'll look

He scratched that pattern into the helmet, it's not like putting an extra tint over the top.

He would see that pattern from the inside as well, and the only reason a close-assault specialist would use an EVA helmet is for high visibility - and he has completely negated that advantage. Then again, the psychological impact of a skull-faced shotgun-wielding maniac is probably quite large.

I'd probably poop a little bit.

I suppose with Emile's helmet, it's basically just scratching the paintwork off it. Doesn't weaken it, just makes it look bad-ass.

It is possible to scratch into a visor without making it show up - have the visor have nearly the same refractive qualities as air - do that and any marks are rendered invisible.

In the year 2552? It's quite possible they would've had the visors have such a quality in case a Spartan's visor gets scratched up in an explosion, etc.

Thanks for stating that, i think privet caboose was the one to sayh such a think in the past.

I guess they just scavenge and maraud armors that never got any owners, and perhaps prototype pieces that was laying around in training facilities, rusting.

  • 12.29.2010 10:02 AM PDT

I would say they get free reign over what armor they choose. I mean i mean they pick tha weapons for tha job/personal preference.

Good example being John 117 and the assault rifle.

With armor i would say they pick what they prefer/feels right.
