l loved the fuel rod cannon in Halo PC and Halo1. lt was so powerful and had such a devestating affect. When it wizzed by you, you heard it go shoooooooooooowsh! And when it exploded the hole screen shook and the controller vibrated. lt seemd so powerful.
And in Halo PC it was sort of like a mortar. lt arched ,unlike the rocket, which shoots in a straight line. That's what set it off and made it a different, unique, and sometimes very useful weapon.
ln Halo2 the fuel rod cannon is a sissy weapon. lt comes at you like a big, slow, jelly blob. lt makes a stupid noice when you shoot it too; sorta like someone spitting on the ground. ln Halo1 there was a huge booming BWAAAACK! BOOM! But Halo2 made it suck...alot.
Sure there's alot of ammo for it, but you only get the weapon in a few levels anyway. And the levels you can get it in, there's no vehicles or stuff to blow up with it! Correct me if l am wrong but you get the fuel rod cannon only in The Arbiter, The Oracle, Gravemind, and The Uprising. Ok fine you get to blow up stuff with the fuel rod cannon in the tunnel at the end of uprising, but that's it!
Another problem l've got with the fuel rod cannon is that it is sorta yellowish-brown color. lt was purple in Halo1 and HaloPC wasn't it? Why change the color? lt's not a big deal but it just looks weird compared to the purple-ish glow of the other Cevenant weapons.
