smart, interesting, seems out of place.
Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.
I'm writing these Prologues to set up the story, so there will probably be one or two more after this one.
Halo 4: Prologue 2
Location: State of Vadam, Sangheilios
Date: 8.19.2591
"He will be remembered for his brave actions against the traitorous Jiralhanae, and those bastard San 'Shyuum that led them! And for aiding the Spartan in stopping the Flood parasite!"
A Sangheili pushed the metallic coffin of Thel Vadam into an opening in a large pillar-like structure, located in the center of the city of Vadam. There had recently been an attack by a small group of surviving Covenant Loyalists, the purpose of the assault was to take out important Sangheili. They had succeded in killing 12 councilors, but had lost a third of their own to Honor Guardsmen and Thel, who later died protecting the High Council from a Brute Chieftan.
The Zealot continued his speech.
"He succeded H'kad Mantean'ee, now H'kad Manteanus if he is even alive still, a-"
An Elite from the crowd suddenly yelled: "That filthy bastard! May he burn in hell for the crimes he committed against his own race!"
The Zealot stared at the Elite angrily, and went on with his speech.
"As I was saying; as the Arbiter. He later discovered the treachery of the Prophets and stopped them with the aid of the "Master Chief", as the humans called him. Never forget him, he was truly a hero. May he rest in peace, and he might even meet the Spartan in infinity."

"Wake me, when you need me."
Why were words constantly flying around his mind? It hurt.
"I'll I am a monument to all were it so miss you sins easy-"
Why wouldn't they stop?!
Master Demon child of my Chief Reclaimer makers you are Chief Petty Officer Forerunner Master Chief-"
He had to make it stop! But now there were images everywhere! Constantly changing, like a drea- That was it! He was asleep, all he had to do was wake up!
"AGHHHHUGHHHHH!"
John woke up suddenly, every bone in his body hurt, not to mention the enourmous headache he had. It was quite dark here. Where is here? And why wouldn't his cryotube open? He tried harder, but the hatch wouldn't budge. John decided to be a little less... gentle. He then kicked it open, and was shocked to see the outside.
Flood. There was Flood everywhere, covering the walls, the ground, and the door of his cryotube, which explained why he had such trouble opening it. He saw his Assault Rifle where he had put it, although he had misplaced the rest of the Dawn. The frigate was gone, there was still a chunk of it attached to his pod though. His cryotube must have broken off the Frigate.
Cortana, where was she? Her terminal wasn't next to his pod, it must still be on the Frigate! He had to find her and the Frigate, but first... he had to get out of his current location. John raised his Assault Rifle, and began to walk towards the wall in the hopes that he could find a door. He then noticed there was a ceiling made out of energy shields.
"Odd." He said to himself, not noticing the tentacle slowly coming towards him. It then grabbed his foot and dragged him towards a hole in the ground.
"Crap!" John yelled as he shot the tentacle with his MA5, but quickly realized it wasn't doing anything to help him, and he was getting closer to that hole. He began to panic, and reached for a Sentinel Beam he had taken from the Halo ring. He decided the best area to shoot at was a giant yellow bump towards the base of the tentacle, and managed to hit it. The Flood tentacle then let go and retracted back into the hole it had come from.
"Well that was close." John said before he let out a sigh of relief, and wiped himself off. But then a second tentacle wrapped itself around him, but this one was much stronger. He then found himself being flung into a nearby wall, and saw a 20 foot Carrier Form with tentacles twice as tall as itself charging at him.
Hope you guys enjoyed this! I won't be writing the real story til Heljumpers is done, although expect one or two more Prologues. Oh yeah I included a slight reference in this, just for some fun.
