I dont know if anyone has found this before so I apologize if so. Having just finished modding it, I was able to climb up walls as a feature. When I was climbing up one of the invisible walls, I saw on one of the corners of the map (which is not normally visible due to the obvious fact you cant see above the walls of the map) written in what looks like scorch marks, "DMM" and under it, "2003". Its very noticable if your above the trees and look down in one of the corners. If no one has seen it before, does anyone know what it might mean?

Makes sense. What about a clue to Halo 2's release.

They didn't know the release date for halo 2 when they made that map.

I dont think you can say that. After everything Bungie has done, I think no one can ever know exaclty what the're doing or know or going to do.

DMM are the initials of the guy that made Timerbland. Worked for Gearbox at the time Halo PC was being developed, but I believe he's moved on. 2003, obviously, is when the map was made.

There's a boatload in Halo. I'm not sure about PC, but in the XBox version a series of actions and movements on POA opened a door to a room previously blocked off. It's pretty cool. Otherwise there's initials on Battle Creek, I know that.

The hippo on the shotgun shells, MC's initials on his boots [I think, again, not sure]...

yep you mean the Meg on PoA, very hard to find unless you know the exact steps required. I'm a bit of a fan of Halo tricking as well so I've tried them all, and they were all successfully ported ;) Including the Meg. It's called that because the level designer for Halo Jaime Greisemer (sp?) a.k.a Flawless Cowboy put in a secret line of actions that once met opens up the door to which the invincible marines come out of if you kill the captain. If you get past them and then procede through the doorway, you'll go down a long hallway and if you look up you'll see an M written in blood surounded by a heart made of bulletholes, it was placed there for his girlfriend Meg, how sweet...Though it was pretty much the hardest egg to be found in Halo, it even eclipsed the infamous Hippo hunt back in 02 or around then, people looked EVERYWHERE for that that thing ;)

Check it yo': Halo Easter Eggs

It's DMM. And the Meg is a bullet M and a blood heart.
