I really have to give you my honest opinion here. That doesn't sound like Halo game at all. Sounds more like a fail attempt of making a ultra realistic and ultra violent game. Halo is meant to be fun not people getting ripped apart and blowing up. There are also many things in your text which would make the game unplayable gameplay wise. There are also things that don't make sense at all.

My honest statement: Sounds cool at first when you read that there are people blowing up and getting ripped apart but it isn't. I would take any of previous Halo's over that ultra gory game which also has extremely broken gameplay. I like the story much more like it was in Halo CE-ODST. Reach had too dark and gritty feel.

P.S. Why I think that extremely gory game isn't good: Gore doesn't make a good game. Gears of War did it okay but I am not really a fan of gory games. Why would we need that much violence? I personally would have Halo more as it is now than as a Gears of War copy. You have to be a sadist to think that a game needs more violence. So honestly, that sounds horrible for a game.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

No, just no.

I like all the suggestions apart from the ones about gore. I suggest one more thing though, Space Firefight.

doesn't understand the importance of gore in an FPS

Gore isn't important in FPS. Halo has proven it. Another good example is Metroid Prime. Halo has some gore and Metroid Prime doesn't have any. Still both are very great games.

Is gore realistic? Definitely yes.
Is it necessary? No.
Is it fun and does it make a good game? Definitely no.
Does a game have to be extremely realistic? Definitely no.

One of the reasons Halo is so good is because it has it's own style. It's not ultra realistic or ultra gory. It's just pure fun. Still it has good story. Realism is a bad excuse for a game.

You need Itakagi to do this game

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Before I start criticising anything else, what does this have to do with Onyx?

This is nothing like a halo game, first person view from vehicles? buy Far Cry 2, First Person driving while being shot at sucks. Being able to take cover... well lets just leave that for those Gears of War panzies. And besides... your idea sounds absolutely NOTHING like Halo: Onyx. I wouldn't mind the gore and entrance and exit wounds but I'm sorry dude... that's just not what Halo's about.

QFT.

Really, Onyx, thousands of Spartans and... no.

Want realism, play Killzone 2.
