Subject: Subtle Racism?

I don't know if the Bungie.net community has noticed but I think Bungie might be racist(sarcasm). If you have notice, in Bungie's two latest games (ODST and Reach) two the main characters in the games (Romeo and Emile) were very arragant and showed little to no sympythy for other characters. However, Bungie also created Sgt. Johnson so I guess that makes up for it(more sarcasm).

Comment on the topic or post anything you think is relevent to subtle racism in the Halo trilogy or any other games.

P.S. To any fanboys who think I'm speaking heresy of Bungie, I myself am a fanboy and this isn't meant to be taking seriously so try not to get too butt hurt over the topic.

"In Tutela pro Tribus!"

No sympathy? Where do you think Emile had no sympathy? I remember hearing him giggle and calling Jorge "Sentimental" and lovingly referring to him as the "Big Man".

Emile had attitude, but he didn't lack sympathy.

Romeo on the other hand...is just a regular joe-blow soldier, and I dunno about your experiences, but most Black Soldiers I have come across have a swagger, attitude and cander all their own. It's a culture thing. Same with 99.9% of black atheletes. They're badass and they know it.

Johnson? Modeled after the Sarge in ALIENS who had a mixture of that SAME attitude and demeanor, as well as being the biggest badass Drill Instructor the universe will ever know.

It's not racist at all...it's actually quite psychologically and sociologically accurate.

If you read the P.S. and noticed the sarcasm then you would know this isn't meant to be taking seriously and you probably wouldn't be so butt hurt

That was what I was doing. Making a simple conversation and commenting on what I thought was a valid topic.

Dont come to the table if you dont wanna play.

I thought you were mad, the tone that I picked up from what you wrote seemed like you were angry that I said Bungie was racist so I simply wanted to diffuse the situation

"Find The Bomb?!
Find The Bomb?!
I'm Looking For The Flag!
What The Heck Is Assualt!?"

I'm sorry...

I doubt bungie was going for that.

And Sarge was a type cast character who simply had a speech in halo CE as the hard officer.

He was so popular that he got brought back. And really I doubt that you would meet any black people that would get angry about it.

woopde-blam!-doo...What the hell are we supposed to do for a sarcasm thread, for christ sake. It's not funny nor interesting, so why bother? You're not adding nor changing the forum in any way. I guess you're expecting a hot topic or what? go be a forum cancer somewhere else

Agreeing with the previously voiced argument, Bungie was being sociologically accurate in writing their black characters. I saw no stereotype pandering.

One of them is cool and collected, one of them is a shotgun badass, and one of them knows what the ladies like.

"You get what you put into it."

When Legendary is too mainstream, you have Heroic. When you're the leader of the church of MLGeezus, have Epic in your username, and can't write 'About Me's' to save your life, what do you get?

This guy. And now, an side note: Most things I post contain lethal doses of sarcasm, so be warned, and try not to take me seriously.

Finally, a message to Bungie trolls everywhere.

I know alot of people like that. But honestly, why does it matter? Sgt. Buck was fairly harsh at the beginning of ODST, and Captian Keyes (CE) was somewhat serious at all times.
