Please don't mistake my intentions, I am not saying that everyone on Bungie.net is a plight, but it seems that the negative people far outweigh the positive ones.
So, enlighten me. ~B.B.

It isn't that there are more members here who hate this site or any of the games that Bungie makes. It is just that they post more often because they are whineing. And when people whine they always whine loud so they post more often so that they are sure they get attention.

I will give you a short and simple answer... Human Emotion. When one person hears somthing he doesn't like he speaks out without thinking just to prove the other wrong. Then it's the civil war... People join up on each side to back up one another. Like this thread for instance, Some people are on you side and others say that there's nothing wrong with the forums. Those people that say there's nothing wrong with the forums are probally the people that argue just to argue. That say stupid things just to hear themselves talk. Of course they ruin the forums for others, they help it also. With 1,000,000+ gamers one one site pretty much everything has been covered. Yet with all Halo related subjects terminated, why do you come back?

To try and calm down the "Civil War"(Like this post). Now if all Halo subjects were covered and there was no "War" what would we be doing right now...? I'll tell ya that it's not this forum. Without "wars" the forum would be dead and there would be no point to have one.

First of all, that topic is nice, but please don't advertise other topics.

I wasn't advertising it, as you say. At least not intentionally. I just felt that it was related to this topic. So, I figured it could be taken into account when reading this thread.

EDIT: Marinealver, you have a good point. But, that's the kind of thing that positive, contributing members counteract. When you say positive, helpful things, it helps to counteract all these sorts of people.

There is a reason I am user ID 1 and my account creation date is before this site came online.

Alright, this will hopefully be my last post on the issue at least in this thread. I didn't make this thread to simply whine about Bungie.net or how I think it is declining. I merely wanted to ask if other people saw some of the things that I do. I do want to do something about it, and hopefully bring back Bungie.net to a great forum that I know it can be. I'm not saying that Bungie.net isn't at great forum already, I'm just saying that is could use some work in places. I'm willing to put in the work. From what I've seen on here, it seems like other people are willing to put in the work too. I'm looking forward to trying to work with some of you to hopefully work towards a common goal.
On a separate note, to Pistolsnipe, I appreciate your removal of your previous comment, and if you read my PM to you, you'll probably more understand my background on the issue. No harm taken, and hopefully I didn't come across as too harsh in my PM, it just is a rather bad issue to bring up with me currently.
Other than that, everyone have a good day.
~B.B.

This article (rather long) goes into how electronic communities work from a behavioral viewpoint... it makes for very interesting reading relating the points to here.

-- Steve was going to bring it to the attention of the other Ninjas anyway... so this thread is kinda propitious.

^Now that perfectly describes Bnet. Interesting too. Nice find. And yes, Kilroy, it is very long.

You didn't come across as harsh though you had reason to be. Thanks for being understanding of my idiocy.
