Does anyone else besides me think Halo ODST had potential and deserves a sequel?

yes i do ODSTS deserve another chance so yes i think they do deserve a sequel.

  • 01.05.2011 6:08 PM PDT

yes only if it had a way better story and multiplayer :D!!

  • 01.05.2011 6:27 PM PDT

Definitely, ODST was BOSS! loved it loved it loved it and if it had multiplayer it'd prob be more popular than reach.

Don't know how they could pull off a sequel but yeah maybe heart of midlothian game or anything

I think having the player play as an ODST has a lot of potential and they should expand the concept.

I agree. It was beautiful in my opinion and considering they assembled it in 1 year, I was amazed. I haven't enjoyed a story that much in years.

Shhhh. Just shhhhh. Go play some MW2, Black Ops,or Halo 3. -blam!- Reach it sucks just like ODST did :D

  • 01.06.2011 10:01 PM PDT

I don't think ODST was bad it was a new concept and of course anything new isn't perfect. As for Reach I think it's okay but I prefer Halo 3 for multiplayer.

I am the predator clown I will find you.

It would be ahwesome if it had a sequel and it kind of have a multiplayer. Halo 3 Mythic.

I agree if a sequel was ever conceived it should include more multiplayer options that is what kind of killed Halo ODST in my opinion in addition to the full game price tag.

I wouldn't mind a sequel, but I think a prequel or Tie-in would work better with this, as it is itself a tie-in. But a follow-up game nonetheless, would be pretty cool.

Personally, I would love to see another ODST game. Brining back the Silenced SMG and AutoMag would be badass.

Yes. That is something I would want 343 industries to do.

Think before you post

I posted my own rough ODST 2 plot idea a bit ago if anyone cares to read it-

How bout it takes place after the halo events and its about a new odst squad consisting of Buck and Dare's kid whos the squad leader, Dutch and Gretchen's kids (fratenal twins), Romeo's cousin, and the Rookie's little brother who you play as, storyline could be about going after the remaining covenant forces, lost without their prophets, but still deadly and not too shabby in number, still doing guerilla attacks on the outer colonies. You and your squad could drop onto one of the remaining covenant ships and fight your way through the corridors to get to the bridge where you track the ship back to its orgins which leads to an unknown planet where you and the team drop in, but shortly lose connection with the rest of the human forces and while doing recon find out there's a massive covenant force there working on a high tech doomsday device to blow up earth, while sneaking around the base your team finds a holding cell with the arbiter in it, he came to the planet because of rumors of a regrouping of the covenant, you free him and he joins your squad and together, you ignite the doomsday device to explode the covenant planet, and make an escape

midnight at the heart of midlothian would be an amazing game and could have potential for standard multiplayer what with the whole temporary biological augmentation, probably similar to a spartan. excellent idea, gigantic kudos to you voideth.
now i dont think that an odst sequel could be done, the story is closed. =[

Perhaps but even then I think they should make another Halo game where the player assumes the role of an ODST.

ODST has a great story, but I don't think that it needs a sequel.

I think a prequel would do nicely, to talk about the other events that occur during Halo: CE. The ODSTs have a pretty big role in the story. If any of you read "The Flood" you'll know what I'm talking about.
