Subject: Forerunners and Timelords?

I'll remain a soldier until the war is won.

We all know who the Forerunners are, what they where capable of, what destroyed them, and just how far their technology had progressed.
However there is another group that may be similar to the FOrerunners, perhaps even encountered them. The Timelords
For those of you who dont know who the Timelords are, im talking about the Doctor Who series as seen on BBC and SYFI

The reason ive writen this is because recently it has been confirermed that the Forerunners, much like the Time Lords, had discovered the ability to travel to alternate realities. Now this being true, isnt it possible that perhaps the Two factions ran into eachother on more than one ocasion? If so, where the meetings peacful? Did the Forerunners perhaps take part in the Time War? Or at the same time where they themselves busy attempting to "sterelize the Flood."

These are a few of the things i wish to discuss and find out.

This is all just speculation and talking for the hell of it. Much more so a What-if, discussion than anything else.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

-_-

As much as I love Doctor Who, as many obvious references both Moffat and Davies have made to Halo. No.

Most recently would be:
- San Helios, a clear reference to Sanghelios as both are located in a Triple Star System and have similar environments.
- The Flood, the enemy from the Waters of mars that "infected" others with water.

Also, Moffat's son is a big fan of Halo.

Two hypocrite super-races? They'd probably destroy each other out of fear for the other.

I say hypocrite because Time Lords used time & space and changed events to their benefit, totally against their noninterference rules; the Forerunners as Cryptum shows us, violated the mantle many times for their own benefit. Both self-destructed with their own "ultimate" weapons.

heh. very good point. Both proved their own arrogance more than once. Now that you mention it, i think that both would, as the saying goes, extend one hand while arming the other.
Perhaps befreind eachother almost, while at the same time no doubt plotting against eachother.

The Time Lords i think, would have made all the differece in the Forerunner-Flood War. Because in the end one of their greatest downfalls, in my opinion why none of them are left, is that they simply ran out of time. they waited far to long to deal with the threat and by the time they attempted to, it was far to late. The Time Lords could have easily remidied this.

As far as the Time War goes i dont know enough about the weaponry used to make a guess as to how the effect of Forerunner weaponry would have had on it.

Time Lords invented a demat gun that could erase targets from space/time. The same gun was used on them and the Daleks to end the Last Great Time War. The person who pulled the trigger, we all know too well.

Indeed. The Other, AKA the Doctor.

I know that much. I ment, you know ship to ship weapons and the like. Pulse lasers, EMP cannons, the like.

I guess my question is, could the forerunners have aided them at all, or would their technology and weaponry be on Par with the Daleks and Time Lords.

Granted we know little about each race.

Side note, i think the doctor would be appaled at the very idea of Spartans.

Dalek and Time Lord technology is superior in every way to anything the Forerunners could make. The Time Lords wouldn't need the help of the Forerunners when they've got things like the Hand of Omega, War TARDISes, de-mat guns, Time Bombs and all that.

Evidence supporting this theory.

True. Not to mention the others that we dont even know about, such as "The Nightmare Child." "The could've been king with his army of meanwhiles and never wheres."

The Halo Rings themselves, the Micro-Dyson Mark II sphere, the shield worlds, and the Ark are, above all others, the most significant pieces of Forerunner technology that we know of.

Surely this is only the tip of the ice-berg however.
They also have "The Domain."

I think each race has its own perks. The time lords being the obvious manipulation of time and space itself. Besides the weapons they made during the time war however, there is no evidence to show that without all these things they where infact supirior to the Forerunners. Ultimently though, in a fight, id say the Timelords would easily crush the forerunners.
