All that is needed for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Why do you think Bungie never showed master Chief's face? Would it be too hard to show his face at the end of halo 3?

He's probably to hot to have his face shown.

the man in the metal mask... uncanny resemblance.

His lack of face corresponds to his lack of character. I believe Bungie employees have stated that the Chief is supposed to be a blank slate for the players to project themselves onto.

Bip. Bap. Bam.

We don't need to see his face. We are intended to put ourselves inside that lean, green and mean supersuit.

He had a lot more character in CE (The Two Betrayals opening scene, the ending sequence of Assault on The Control Room, ect) but for the most part, this is true, and a good idea.

But, his face and personality are highly present in Eric Nylund's novels. He's white (if anyone shouts 'racist', you're an idiot), very pale (due to wearing Mjolnir armor all the time), brown hair, freckles (at least as a kid). Overall, he'd look pretty average, besides being a killing machine.

Exactly. Same with Noble 6.

Because behind that mask, there is no face, but an idea. And ideas never die.

lol

I think it's just hard to put a face to such a large scale hero.

Someone did a 3d render of what his face may look like, and while it's nothing too crazy, it's believable. He's pretty old by the time we get to CE, and I think this render is feasable. I'm sure some of you have seen this already.

I think that looks more like the description of Mendez in FoR.

Omg that looks like an ape. I don't think he should have that old douche bag Arnold look. Wrinkly with warts etc lol.

What are you talking about? He is a guy who has been jacked up on steroids pretty much his entire life.

  • 01.12.2011 11:39 AM PDT

he spent too much of his life in cryotubes to be aged like that. plus he would look a little younger than his age, due to all of the enhancements and stuff his body went through. Johnson, a S1, didn't look old when he died in 2552 and he was more than 15 years older than the Master Chief.

I bet he looks pretty grizzly but has the face-age of like...George Clooney. A dude in his 40's that could pass for early-mid thirties.
