smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

I personally see them as arrogant, cruel, selfish, conceited, jackasses. What is your opinion on them?

  • 01.12.2011 11:59 AM PDT

I don't care. I really don't.

With power comes arrogance and ignorance. And the Forerunners are probably the best example now that we know what they were in life.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

They certainly didn't have much of a problem exploiting a little loophole in the Mantle now, did they? Running the show meant removing any potential competition.

I agree; the Forerunner are nothing but a bunch of space -blam!-s.

Fight to the end, and give it your all.

I think that they are cruel, selfish, powerful, arrogant, and -blam!-s.

I am alpha, i am omega.

I am the last of the primes.

Id love to see how they would fight without their guns or any other super weapon, a marine could own 1 in a fist fight or hand to hand combat.

Tossers.

Short but sweet.

I'm a lead farmer, mother lover!

Honestly, they're just like Humans. They have a wide range of emotions, can be merciless and cruel, but also have compassion in their lives. Power corrupts them absolutely the higher they are in political stature but certain things also bring them down to the ground.

Same. They are kind of hypocrites. They aim to protect all life in the galaxy, but yet they think they are superior? And they tested a Halo on that San-Shyumm planet...

  • 01.12.2011 2:26 PM PDT

They remind me of the Protoss. Like EXACTLY like them.

  • 01.12.2011 2:36 PM PDT

I'll remain a soldier until the war is won.

Changed entirly.

I think that they ment well, and in more than one case they had the right idea. BUt all i see is a bunch on pompus old bastereds letting their own fear and selfishness govern themselves.

motha--blam!-ing -blam!-holes who -blam!- their -blam!-'s -blam!-s during -blam!-

Before Cryptum, I'd always perceived them as being a super intelligent race that put the survival of all living things before themselves.

I guess I was wrong.

They are backstabbers and, for lack of a better word, 'bullies'. They exploited the Mantle as a method of complete dominance throughout the galaxy.

Kinda the same. but you realize all of the Forerunners are governed by a council of 500? and the Master Builder held more power than that.
so the vast majority of Forerunner are basically honest folk.

I agree with this statment. i think that most of the forerunners where good honest creatures, who're just blissfuly unawhere. Just as Bornstellar once was, until he realized that the forerunner empire was "built on the backs of 1000's of crushed civilisations.

I think that's the point--history repeats itself. The morale is that we (intelligent life forms) often do not learn from our mistakes.

5 years and counting on Bungie. I feel old and worthless.

It had shown that the Forerunners are VERY similar to their sister race, the Humans.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I want to know how they defeated the Pre Cursor...

I agree with a few posts on here, I once saw them as a wise race that was kind and caring. Now they seem like total jackass bastards who love to dictate.
