My vote goes to the double needlers. Basically everything that Josher35 said in that post way up. It's funny as hell to watch someone explode in a pink cloud. And I heard how needlers of Halo 2 will be guns that you want to pick up. I'm anxious to see the upgraded version. :]

Im still sold on the needler thing. Cause you really have to suck to get killed by one of those things.

Dudes, Plasma pistol, and human pistol, instanly no shields with one, then a domeshot with the other, seems the best combo (at least for me).

May i agian remind people that just about everyon can doge a charged plasma blast and that if your opponet is any good with a pistol that you are probably going to die before it even gets to him.

I like the idea of the BR and Shotgun. Think about that one.... good at medium to long range as well as short range. I know that likely won't work because of both of them not being one-hand weapons.

Seriously though, I keep reading posts about how great it would be to use plasma pistol and human pistol because you could cut down their shields then take 'em with a headshot. It would really be easier to just fire the two extra shots from the human pistol than to bother charging the plasma pistol. Also, tacos rule.

It would have to be dual single handed and a doubled handed one, three weapons toatal. I think with dual u would use the grenade switch button to switch between gun and grenade for the left trigger.

My duals of course would be Plasma pistol, Human pistol

Shield down head shot!!!! oh ya sniper riffel for a two handed weapon

any one heard the rummor that u can charge ur flash light power into ur shield when its down

now it's disturbed because your faster dead and You don't need skills any more!!;)
thats my opinion!

Wouldn't mind trying dual fuel rod guns, (the guns the Hunters use..oh baby) can you imagine the fun you could have in the "KEYES" gameplay, come on down whippy, lets see ya smack me now.

The plasma pistol / human pistol would be my favorite in campaign (just love making those elites heads snap back).

But the dual needlers is the way to go for multiplayer, for only then can you tell to the person you are killing "Death by Needler!" as you charge straight at his face. (Hopefully he doesn't react in time).

well nice thought but Dual weilding is only for one handed weapons like the pistol, and smg, needler, and plasma pistol... not the two handed battle rifle, or the rocket launcher.
bungie is too sick on having realistic gameplay.. even the MC would have trouble firing a rocket launcher with only one hand....

i was just curious if anyone knows how many weapons you'll be able to carry in halo2. what i mean is, say you're dual wielding some needlers (doesn't get any better than that) when you switch weapons, will it just lower one of them allowing you to use grenades and stuff, or will you be able to switch to say, a shotgun or some other 2 handed weapon? or even a different set of dual wielded weapons?

i also fail to see the point in plasma pistol overcharge shot / pistol in MP, unless you're playing with like 1000% shields. it's like saying you're going to overcharge shot someone and then finish them off with a sniper round to the head. besides, in the span of time you charge up the shot, you could have killed someone and started on the next guy had you just been using dual pistols.

I still think that dual pistols is the way to go. Even better if they put the Magnum Pisotls from the First Strike book in, like they did with the BR. I also figured out how many rounds the BR is going to carry, it's 30. So half of what the AR was carring but if you think about it you really don't need that many rounds because it is a jack load more accurrate. Another decent combo that i can think of that is actually fesiable is a pistol and a SMG. Cause you could be deadly at long and short rage. Only issue i can see with that is the zoom option, idon't know how you be able to zooom it in. If you could though that would be pretty coo.

If you have the net why not do a lan line, so you could go against some one at your level

I'd go for dual SMG's.

My friend in my LAN and XBC clan, { SILENT CHAOS }, prefer smaller levels. Basicly, this compacts us into smaller areas where the dual Pistols or SMG's would be ideal. In Halo, I'm an avid fan of the plasma rifle, however I'm constatly eyeing that Halo 2 screen whith the Elites holding those purple rifles, whatever they may be. Gimme two of those, baby! Anything looking that post has to be wicked on the battlefield!

I'd love to use a Jackal's shield for my left arm and a plasma sword in my right. Hold the shield up until you're within range and then let them have it with the sword!

okay evryone who voted for any combo involing any of the follwing weapons, needs to stop and think.

Rocket Launcher
Sniper Rifle
Plasma Rifle
Battle Rifle
Shotgun
Needler (maybe, I'm not sure if the needler is 2-handed or not)

I not exactly sure where but somwhere i remember seeing something about only being able to dual-wield one handed weapons. So that counts out all of the above weapons. Personally I think that the plasma pistol SMG combo will be the most effective, but it won't be the coolest, hell, we haven't even seen all the new weapons whos to say?

P.S. For all of u who voted for the pistol, it's going to be changed for Halo 2. I think it'll be: no scope, less rounds in the magazine. But it'll still be pretty cool to dual-weild it.

PPS does anyone know if having a plasma pistol and smg dual-wielded counts as your 2 weapons?

I'm pretty sure you can only have 2 weapons, though I have heard rumors of three. If you ask me three is too many, (like in the POA with the glitch). Anything that shoots a sniper round is good enough 4 me though.

Signing off

Dual pistols will own everyone. They are upgaded and with their 30% larger barrel and bullets the size of a spartans thumb. Eeesh!

Needler (maybe, I'm not sure if the needler is 2-handed or not)

no no no pistols are gonna suck, they are gonna make them no scope and prolly less accurate at such long distances. they are gonna be good close range for sure, but prolly only decent mid range. It's all about the battle rifle, I dont even care about dual weilding. The freaking Battle Rifle is all I want, its so bad ass. I also read they want to have a scoped Covie gun with a really cool alien-like interface for the zoom, I also wanna see that really bad, Screw the rest of the guns tho, Battle Rifle all the way.
