Dual Grenades! If you could carry about sixty each, that would rock. Or maybe just a grenade and be able to stick plasmas to stuff directly, without having to worry about physics doing the job.

I would have to say that the ultimate dual wielding combo would have to be a pair of wave motion guns...hands down. WHO'S WITH ME???

of course the only truely ultimate combo for short-range kick-ass guerilla in-your-face action is the shotgun / rocket launcher with a slung needler!!!!!!!!!! B)

i like the battle rifle and sniper combo. Plus I think I would be awesome while dual wielding, if the MC could head-butt people instead of a melee attack.

they should make a controller which allows to on the screen to be 2 reticles and 1 joystick to control one reticle thus allowing you to aim both reticles different ways, making dual weapons a whole lot better. would be hard it would end up like a half a diamond 1 joystick on the left 1 on the right and one in the middle for movement but if you could make it comfortable it would be hard to master but would be so much fun.

I think that a sniper rifle in one hand and a pistol in the other would be sweet, and a shotgun for backup just in case. I know from playing against my friends that you need a weapon for all ranges that will do the most damage.

If it could be done, I would take a jackal's sheild and one of the plasma swords. That would make for some good ol Hack n' Slash and a challenge.

I have a feeling that all the old strategies that we had in Halo 1 are going to change. Mainly because of the diversfied aray of weapons that are going to be itroduced. Also in on of the last weekely updates Frankie was taking about a new weapon that was brutal, and not that it mean that the burtes carried or to take anything from that. But if you read First Strike the brutes have a hight vilocity grenade launcher; not a plasma weapon. Just think about that. It would be the ultimate anitwarthog gun.

I also have a feeling that the BR is going to be the new pistol. The cool thing about that is that its not just 12 rounds its 30. Think of the utter mayhem you can cause with that!!!!

Personally, I'd say dual-shotties since they would be the ultimate in enemy-destroying weapons. the only downside is the long-range attacks suck, so you'd need to be at medium-clsoe range. FOr longe range, dual needlers. Be cool to see a grunt fly with two clips.

You could control each gun independently with the current xbox controller. The left reticle would be controlled by the left thumbstick, the right reticle with the right, and movement would just be the DPad. There would be a conflict on which way you'd be looking, but you should just look in the averaged position of the reticles.
It'd be sweet shooting up two seperate enemies at once. Once you'd mastered the crazy controls you could take out twice as many enemies in half the time.

Ok. I havnt given much thought into the dual weapons for halo 2, and i dont think i will untill its release. But in the original Halo, i found the best way to take out neone was with just a plasma rifle, because it slows the other player down i would fire the PR and rotate around the player untill facing directly at ther back, in which time is lucky because by then the PR has usually started to overheat, then just a good ole melee.

You're missing one important combo. The pistol and the plasma pistol. One charged shot to remove the shield. One shot in the head. Done.

If three shots kill from the human pistol in this game Like the first...My personal choice would definetly be dual human pistols trust me u would be unstopable!!! u would have 24 cances of getting three shots a his head when the original pistol u usually kill him with 4 shots at the most. does anyone want to be able to see the weapons the cheif carries attached to him at all when their not in use like a sniper rifle slung or hooked on the cheifs back???

I think the Plasma Pistol and the Pistol would be a good combination.
Take the shields down then BAM! one shot to the head=death.
If its a hunter you put one bullet into it.
Sentinels would fall from the plasma pistol.
good range.
Its easy to tear the hell out of flood with both those weapons.

haha my second post so far...
i think there will be bots... someone from bungie mentioned sumthing about a multiplayer comAI elite vs human Spartans mode(hopefully the AIs are in Legendary setting heehee)... and my best combo would be... sniper rifle + dual smg or needlers...far range quick KO or pump those idiots full of lead at close range...yea man dat rulz

The problem with dual shotys is one they are a two handed weapon. And the most important is that the reaload time would be ungodly. Espically with the current pump action design.
