"There is no 'I' in team"
"Yeah? Well, there's no 'we' or 'us' either..."
Alright, so I've had H2V for a while now. I played it on my family's old vista quite perfectly for months before, but now I wanted to try playing it on my newer laptop, seeing as how the family PC likes to CTD a lot.
Before I go on, here are my basic specs for the laptop:
64-bit Windows 7 home premium
4 gig ram
AMD Phenom II N850 Triple-Core Processor @2.20 GHz
AMD M880G w/ ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250, with 320 dedicated MB graphic memory
Now, whenever I install or reinstall H2V I get the not-so-uncommon "Live gaming for windows failed to initialize blah blah blah" error message every time I try to start the game. For a few days now I've searched the magical google and these forums trying various solutions, but none so far have worked. The 'Windows 7 Workarounds' page looked promising (http://www.modacity.net/forums/showthread.php?22030-Windows-7 -Walkarounds-(Halo-2-for-Windows-Vista)) but nothing there worked for me, short of reinstalling the OS completely.
Does anybody have any suggestions for fixes they know have worked, or am I simply doomed to play a port on a crappy PC?
