So...Bungie is retaining ownership to it's IP. IP means Intellectual Property, right? And Intellectual Property means the game universe, right? So, the Halo Universe, for example.

So, Bungie is probably retaining ownership because something happened with Infinity Ward and Activision with Call of Duty and Bungie doesn't want that to happen with their new project. They don't want Activision ruining their IP.

Do I have this right?

I don't exactly trust Activision that much, but knowing Bungie's IP is safe, puts me at ease. lol.

Don't worry Bungie is fully aware about what happened between IW and Activision. They would have made a very well thought out Contract :)
