I'm sadly running on a laptop, but I get very playable framerates with the settings on low, decals turned off and the lowest resolution. I don't really care about graphics, so it dosen't bother me much.

Toshiba Portege M200

Intel Processor M 1.6 GHz
1 Gig of RAM
Geforce FX Go5200 32 MB

New computer hopefully xmas next year, because I'm not wasting the money I have now. If I save till the end of next year I will def get a kickass computer.

* Dell Dimension 8400
* Pentium 4 550 (3.4 Ghz.; 800 Mhz. FSB; 1 MB L2cache)
* 2.5 GB DDR2 RAM @ 533 Mhz.
* ATi Radeon X300 SE
* Sound Blaster X-fi XtremeMusic

Graphics card is the main bottleneck. Can have all setting on high with resolution of 640x480, but there's some low fps during big fights or when lots of decals are present. With all high settings at 640x480, random guess for average fps is 50.

Other than that, loading times are super short, sound quality is excellent, and overall performance is good.

ok here we go 3 year old system

Dell Dimension 4550 (customised)
* Pentium 4 Non HT 2.66ghz, Northwood Core (very cool and stable)
* Sapphire's ATi Radeon 9600 PRO (256mb)
* 1 gig 'o' ram pc3200 2 sticks 533mhz (DDR)
* 190 gig HDD, Seagate 72,000 RPM
* Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Gamer LE
* Logitech X-620's (6.1 Surround Sound)
* Logitech MX 1000 ;)
* Comcast Broadband 8mgs WOOT

Halo runs fine on 640x480, but when i kick it up to 1024x786 the framerate gets worse so i just play on 640x480 and i get no lag

Alienware Area 51 7500 PC (customized)
Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Processor (Dual Core)
2 gigahertz RAM

I think AVI dual video cards
I don't know hard drive stuff

I keep resolution on 1024 by 1020 or whatever. It hardly lags up exept on 56k servers (HATE THOSE).

Dell Dimension 4600
Pentium 4, 2.6 ghz processor
768 mb ram
ATI Radeon 9600 video card 256 mb
Stock sound card
80 gb hard drive
Oh, and cant forget the mouse: Logitech MX518 gaming mouse. (worth all 50.00 duckets.)
Comcast broadband 8 megs.......Yee haw!

My system runs Halo great. When I bought this system I had no intentions of playing games on it. Luckily the 4600 is upgradeable, so with a new video card and some more ram it turned out to be an alright gaming computer.

It plays pretty smooth with resolution set low. I can have the effects set on high, but I dont just because it makes it difficult to see through all the crap after heavy battles. So I leave everything set low and it works awesome online. On the campaign I can have everything set way up with no lag.

But for the 1100.00 I ended up spending on it, next time I will build my own and have twice the pc.

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Also custom, built by me:
P4 3.0Ghz 800Mhz FSB
1GB PC3200 Corsair RAM
Radeon 9600XT All in wonder 128MB video card
Western Digital 80GB and 160GB Hard Drives

It runs Halo like a charm :)

If it is an Alienware, it would have 8 USBs.
I have one, it has 4 in front, 4 on back panel.

From what he said, his is a custom build PC that only has an alienware case.

"The Chiller"

AMD Athlon 3200+ @2.6GHz
2x1GB Corsair XMS 3-4-4-8 1T @260MHz
Abit Fatal1ty nForce 4 Ultra
eVGA 7800GTX
AudioMax Fatal1ty 5.1
74GB WD Raptor 10k-rpm
LG DVD+/- RW
Ultra X-Connect 500watt PSU [black]
Asetek Waterchill [3x120mm black ice rad, cpu/chipset/vga blocks]
Thermaltake Armor [black case]

Temps:
CPU: 32C idle/45C load
GPU: 29C idle/40C load
Case: 27C

The system is quiet, cool, and runs great. It's also decked out with a few UV cathodes, so the UV cooling fluid and the PSU cables glow a calming blue. The only problem is that the whole thing weighs in at over 40 pounds!

Ha, I was waiting for that sexy legs ;) oh and I see you got the new 7800 already, very nice.

ummm mine's kind of old but it WAS good when I bought it :/

-Dell Dimension 8100
-Intel Pentium III 1.4Ghz
-512MB RAM
-Nvidia FX5600 XT
-SATA 140gb hard drive
-Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse (LX700)
-some crap sound card
-some crap intel motherboard
-and....that's about it

So ya I can play Halo pretty good. I used to play it on 1024x768 with settings on medium. But I really wanted to play with High textures and particles so I now play it on 800x600. My computer's able to run most programs but I don't think I can buy Call of Duty 2 and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory because even the demos were having a hard time running. The real bottleneck is the processor, although it's not unheard of I wasen't planning on replacing it, instead when your processor goes out of date you usually have to buy a new computer altogether :( Well hopefully I'll get one soon, at least this one will be custom-built ;)

P.S oh ya don't get DELL I'm convinced they built my hard-drive to fail after 3 years...I had the standard 40 gig model and BOOM, just 3 months after my 3-year warranty was up, it failed on me. Stupid hardware failure.....

* AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.4 GHZ W/ San Diego Core (Just got it :P)
* ATI Radeon X800 XL 256MB
* Chaintech VNF4 Ultra ATX 939 Motherboard (Great for OC'ing)
* 1GB:2x512MB Sticks of Corsair RAM (Got another stick in yesterday :P)

(Early 2004) iBook G4
1.07 GHZ
256MB RAM
32MB VRAM

I can run Halo on the highest settings without lag, I only get lag on multiplayer, but that's because of my Internet.

I'm running it on my laptop most of the time.

ACER Aspire 5024

AMD Turion 64 1.8
768 MB DDR 400
ATi Mobility Radeon X700 128 MB
1280 x 800

All details max, runs smoothly at about 40-50 FPS

512 mb ram
3.0 ghz pentium 4
200gb hard drive
nvidia geforce pcx 5750 ( it has pci express or whatever that is)
some sound card im not sure what it is.
crappy 6 year old labtec speakers.
a 6 year old crt screen.
a logitech keyboard and mouse that came with our base unit.
we only bought a base unit with our new computer, everything else was salvaged from our old computer
runs halo perfectly, i have the resolution at 1024 by 786 or something like that and it runs perfectly, i sometimes have it on 2480 by 1024 or something because everything looks nicer but there are black lines which is annoying
oh ya and i have my settings on high all of the time.

And it is verified: no Halo 2 on PC. Bungie said so.

If you read the message that i personally gave to Me15ter, you would change your mind.

And please give me evidence that Bungie said no, i've gotta see this...

Wrong. Look at the logic behind it...I should send you a copy of Spartan 012's stuff...It's not a question of "whether," rather, a question of "when."
