And it is verified: no Halo 2 on PC. Bungie said so.

If you read the message that i personally gave to Me15ter, you would change your mind.

And please give me evidence that Bungie said no, i've gotta see this...

If you want proof read the sticky and bungie has other things to do like halo 2 and halo 3 for the xbox

and for your dell dimension 8100 how does it have a 1.4GHz processer when for my work computer i have a dell dimension 4700 and it has a 2.8GHz processer. Right now im on my sucky laptop 3 years old... Has a Mediocre of however it is spelled preformance
1.8GHz processer
512MB of RAM
No idea of soundcard to lazy to check
A crapy vid card Radeon 7500 APG (16MB)
Work computer: I mainly play on this cause my brother always plays Battlefield 2 on Gaming PC i havnt played on that thing in ages
2.8GHz
512MB RAM
Intel 910GL Vid Card (128MB)
Sound card stock its ok
Works great i can get 50 fps, no lag unless the sucky 56kers join, and i can have every setting on high

HP Pavilion w/ Windows XP
3Ghz processor
80 GB hard drive
512 MB RAM (can have up to 2 GB)
128 MB Nvidia graphics card
Internet- WiFi T1 (1 meg) connection

Nothing too fancy but plays Halo very well. I play with all settings on high, and it doesn't mess up except on really intense parts of the game.

A good deal for $500 on Ebay. (Also got my 21 inch flat screen monitor for $125 on Ebay.)
Just need to save up to upgrade to 256 MB video card and 2 GB RAM. Or, even better, an Alienware computer.

My old computer had a 850 Mhz processor or something, and Halo was crap on it. I feel sorry for my old computer considering what I put it through. Don't try to play Halo on anything less than a gig...

AMD Athlon 64 3700+
Corsair XMS 1GB
Powercolor X800XL
Runs awesome on my home built computer.

HP Pavillion zd7000 laptop.
3.06 ghz P4 w/hyperthreading
1 gig ram
Nvidia 5600go w/ 128mb

With settings and resolution turned way down, I usually get at least 60 fps. As my laptop heats up I start to lose fps. I play on wifi and have very little lag, although some people say I warp a lot.

Been planning to build one, nothing particularly massive but still pretty sweet by most ppls standards...but till then im stuck with this POS:

P3 800MHz
Transcend TS-ASL3 motherboard
128MB GeForce MX4000
512MB mem
24bit Sound Blaster Live
some nameless LAN card

Its okayish for the most part, but be warned - DO NOT USE THE GEFORCE MX4000 FOR HALO - it screws up the textures, particularly the shields and active camou. Its still recognizable, but think dark green glowing shields, and active camou that doesnt just make you harder to see like normal, but completely makes you invisible. Pain in the butt to fight the camo elites on Silent Cartographer.

Dell Dimension 2400 (not the greatest computer of all time, it has about 16 viruses)
Geforce FX 5500--though it's not the best card out there, it's as good as you can do for a simple PCI slot.

I don't even know what my internet status is, I guess it's Cox cable that gets sent to my basement computer through a wireless router.

For multiplayer my computer works great on good servers, usually my good pings are in the 40-70 range.

For campaign, the graphics are great, though occasionally in big battles my gfx card might have to go a little bit slower.

Here is my Alienware Bot customized system:

Intel Pentium 4 2.93GHz w/HT 533MHz FSB
4 x 256MB PC3200 DDR Low Latency (2) RAM
Powercolor Radeon X800GTO 256MB 256bit GDDR3 16 Pixel Pipelines
Creative Sound Blaster 24bit 192KHz 5.1 Surround
450W MicroATX Athena Power Supply
80GB HD
DVD-ROM 48X
External CD-RW 52X24X52

My computer can run run Halo on the highest detail and highest resolution with full anti-aliasing, I get about 70 to 100 FPS. I highly recommend the Powercolor Radeon X800GTO, it is under $200 and I can play Battlefield 2, FEAR, and DOOM3 on the highest settings and I still get 60+ FPS.

Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.70Ghz
1.69Ghz
256 MB of RAM

Runs Halo fairly well. The particles have to be set on low or the game starts to lag but the details can be on high. I have highest volume settings for audio. Hardware Acceleration enabled so I can use EAX. SB Live Soundcard. NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Graphics/Video card.

Had for like 4 years I think. Had to have it fixed maybe 3 times. Got Ad-Aware SE Personal and Microsoft AntiSpyware. Works like a charm. I've been begging my parents to get a new HP CPU but they say that that would be too expensive and the computer is not ment for games. But whatever.

I almost forgot I have a 20GB Hard Drive. I know it sucks but tell that to my parents.

e machines T2460,
amd athalon 2400+ windows xp
512 mb ram
60gb hd that is all but 19 g's used up
64mb radion somthing or other card
dvd drive
cdrw burner
floppy drive
no fans what so ever except the processor and maby the gpu

it will not run bat-feild 2 and runs fs 2004 really bad
and halo will run ok with medum textures decals low particles fixed framerate of 30fps and it can't run reflections for some reason
when there are a bunch of effects the game slows down a bunch so i may take particles off for that reason and when lag happens it combines to make the game really hard to play
sometimes the sound card screws up really bad and the hog sounds like someone put a big pillow over it or it underwater and ou can hear only one of the sound layers they used to make the sound, it kinnda cool because it starts to sound like a v-8 hemi or somthing only muffled im gonna get a 256mb card soon so i can run it better

A8N-E, with an AMD Athlon 3200+
An x800XL
1 gig OCZ premier series RAM
250gig HDD
on board sound
nifty speakers
17" flatscreen LCD monitor

Runs halo at 1280x1024 (max res of monitor) full settings, no slowdown at all. 65fps + at all times. BF2 runs smoothly, WoW runs smoothly, Guildwars runs smoothly.

I highly recomend the x800xl, it is a relativly cheap card, and out performs some of the more expensive cards. Best cost/performance ratio except maybe the 6600GT.

That's completely true about the X800XL, as I have one too, I play it in Campaign, at full settings, never goes below 60 FPS, except in Cut-Scenes. (Which it is then forced at 30 FPS)

Hmmm... I think it's (I don't know all parts)

Alienware Area 51 7500 PC (customized)
Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Processor (Dual Core)
2 gigahertz RAM
DDR2 something
I think AVI dual video cards
I don't know hard drive stuff

I keep resolution on 1024 by 1020 or whatever. It hardly lags up exept on 56k servers (HATE THOSE).

how do you have 2GHz for your RAM? I think you mean 2GB

Yeah, you're right. I don't remember all that stuff.

Here's the important things about my computer.

[li] NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256MB Graphics card
[li] Celeron(R) CPU 2.00GHz
[li] 256MB of RAM

When playing Halo, the graphics are great, but it lags whenever there are big explosions, apart from that, it runs smoothly.
