It's interestint how Bungie has been on this. They broke the news of Halo 1 and 2 playing in hi-def and 16x9 on the 360 and acted as if this wonderful graphical update was their doing. Then a few days later when microsoft releases the backwards compatibility list, we find out that ALL Xbox 1 games get this facelift, so Bungie was just trying to get some attention by breaking the news first and acting as if this 720p update was special to the Halo games.
Now that the system is out and we're seeing glitches in Halo 2 (honestly not even a big deal though), lack of the promised 16x9 in Halo 1 (this one is a huge deal to me), and generally unimpressive results of playing in 720p, Bungie is now trying to act like they have no control over this whole situation, or as Frankie put it:
"We (Bungie) don't actually make the 360 emulation software, so we can't do much about it except keep you posted on any changes to that situation."
Sounds like a pretty lame excuse to not get involve to me.
Bunge, you made promises to your fans. Failing to meet those promises was not your fault, but saying you can do nothing to fix the situation is just lame.
