You won't be a mod. I'm sorry to say it, but if you want to be a ninja, the ninjas will look for you. You also ruined your miniscule chance of becoming a mod when you asked about it.

lol. Well, if you don't ask, you won't know. I was mearly interested. I never said that I was wishing to apply to be one. I was only interested in the process. So... don't assume.

I'd guess the best way to become a mod is by proving that you can respond to a thread without "rolling in the mud" (not my qoute). That you have the power to avoid flaming those that flame you. Above all can state your opinions without putting down others opinins, even as go as far as making sure that people understand you are open to everyone elses.

Oh and possibly helping the mods monitor the forums for flame threads, misplaced threads, spammers, etc via PM. But its hard to know who is watching and who isn't...sneaky ninjas.

Indeed. Ninja's recruit Ninja's. Could be the higher ups recruit Ninja's, like Achronos or Shiska.

I couldn't see myself as a moderator, it's a way overrated position if you ask me.

[ADDITION]
Most people look to be a moderator for power or to feel special, which is why it's the whole "we'll call you" type of jig.

Ok, not to sound offensive here, but do you know this for certain, or are you guessing/assuming?

I think I've seen a comment by a mod on this type of discussion, but I'm not positive about it. I would ASSUME that what I said is true.

I would love to be a "Zanzibar Only" Mod. I'd do my best to take some names and whip some -blam!-.'

EDIT: I highly doubt they care what the trolls think about "who is best", they just do their jobs. IMO they all do them well, some are just more at the forefront than others.

I'm certifiable.

Bungie staff selects the moderators on bungie.net; moderators do not volunteer, they are instead chosen from reasonably-long-term members in good standing and solid reputations... and they aren't chosen terribly often.

(And the initiation is utterly terrifying. Bananas... ohmigawwwwwwwd....)

-- Steve'll also point out that this is off-topic for Zanzibar, and really belongs in the dedicated bungie.net community forum called, "the Septagon". Consider it moved.

How do you become a Moderator? Is it that you have to be an exemplory member of the community? Or maybe that you apply, and are "initiated"? Well I would like to know.

Thanks

EDIT: This is only out of interest, for information only, I am not trying to become one myself. Thanks once again.

Ok. Oh another thing, is your funky white writing automatically assigned? Or do you have to make it that way?

Oh, I forgot to mention. You asked about the initiation process. We don't know much, but we know it involves bananas and screaming....

And a crash course in typing and grammer?

Mods must actually go over and re-read their posts, unlike us common-folk.
