I am a new warrior to bungie. I have read several posts and your commitment to Halo intrigues me. I am glad to bea member of this society, and I look forward to contributing to the message board. With that being said, Ill have you all know that I am a player of the Halo Trial Version for the PC. Some of you may know me as Spadez, and I hope that through this site I may be able to interact with you all further as I get closer to owning the actual full version of Halo for the PC. Soon I will be purchacing a new Graphics card so that my game may move more smoothly and I can play without the set-backs of 800x-600x resolution.
I have a couple questions regarding that which I read in the coarse of the message boared which i abruptly stumbled upon.

* How many Halo books are there?
* Can I check them out in the library?

Those are all the ones that I can think of at the moment, and I will be greatly appreciative for the responses. Once again, I take pride in being involved with this community.

3 books in total (Fall of Reach, the Flood, First Strike) and as for the library, I couldn't say because it really depends on the library.

They should be available at Amazon, but i don't think your local library will have them.

See, this is how you should introduce yourself; a short introduction, spelling seems to be almost flawless...

Someone give this man a sticky

But really though, welcome and all that; there are 3 books: The Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike

As far as your second question goes, that's up to your location most likely

Well then let me be one of the first to welcome you, Spadez. Bungie.net is a great place for bungie fans to come together and talk about whatever. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Well everyone has given you titles I shall give you background.

Fall of Reach- Prequel to Halo. Very good. Tells the story both before the war and during. You'll enjoy this. And remember while playing the game we are losing because the war is pretty much Legendary mode.

The Flood- Halo. The game that is. Not well written and not very accurate to the whole halo universe. Still nice for some background, but take it with a grain of salt.

First Strike- Sequel to Halo and direct prequel to Halo 2. Read the Fall of Reach before this and the Flood. Will probably help everyone with understanding Halo 2's story a heck of a lot better. Excellent read.

Both The Fall of Reach and First Strike are written by the genius Eric Nylund. The Flood was written by the not as great William C. Dietz.
