Founder of the Brotherhood of Sierra Group and Clan. I tend to remain fairly mature on the forums, but I absolutely hate those who constantly barrage the Reach forum with AL- and Bloom-type threads. Don't play CoD, but I respect it.

Well, I think that if we can make a movie with as much editing as Avatar, then Halo should be no problem. I mean the armor in Delivering Hope looks pretty realistic, and I'm fairly convinced it is a real model. Not even necessarily all the games in one or two movies. I would go with the story of Halo: The Fall of Reach, or at least the story behind the rise and fall of most of the SPARTAN II project.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I say yes, if Hollywood doesn't interfere with it. They -blam!- up so many true story with their own stupid twists and other -blam!-. Also, I say yes, if they don't mess up the canon.

True, very true. JUST DON'T ASSIGN IT TO M. NIGHT SHAMALAN!! in other words

If theyy did, 343 and frankie would have to be incontrole of where the plot went.

Also, they would have to come up with a new story which fit in to the canon, or make a movie of a short story (like in evolutions). If you think about it, if they tried to cram all of The Fall Of Reach in to one movie, it would probably be 4 hours long, or they would just miss loads of stuff out, in my eyes thats not an option.

They would have to make it in 2 parts, the first would be all the way up untill Sam dies, just after they get MJOLNIR, and the second part would be the rest of the book.

You do realize that if Hollywood doesn't 'interfere with it', you would never see it in theaters...

And I don't want any of the novels made into movies. I want Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Yeah. I loved the show, Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Then, M. Night decides to make it into a movie.

O.O He f**ked up the story sooo badly. It was so disappointing. I will not watch another one of M. Night's movies because of that. He is terrible. >:(

They should make a movie but not show MC's face

Honestly, I hope Hollywood does interfere. If Bungie/343 had total control, we'd probably end up with more cardboard cutout characters like noble team. And of course, MC doesn't really have any personality, either. He'd make a terrible main character. If a movie is made, it should be a side story with perhaps a couple spartans as minor characters, maybe.

Also, remember that any Halo movie will not be made primarily for its existing fanbase. Movies have a much broader audience. For it to be a commercial success, it must appeal to people who have never played Halo or even videogames. I think it's safe to say that Hollywood knows best when it comes to how to do that effectively.

Yea i think it would be a good idea, but i have a feeling it will not be as good as I would expect it to be.

Yeah, I guess so. I just hope they don't interfere with the story. As in, f**k up the canon.

I also agree that it should be a side story. Maybe even Halo 3: ODST. I honestly think that the ODST story is short enough to be a movie, has characters with unique personalities, and has a good mystery/love to it. To me, that sounds like a pretty good movie.

It would be -blam!- up, but I'd like to see it still.

all men are equal, except i am more equal than you because i am alive and you are dead

it is going to be hard to make a proper halo movie, IMO it has to meet every single of these requirments

1. does not screw around with canon

2. does not show the master chiefs face

3. gives the MC a well develpoed charater like in the novels

4. it should enrich the cann, not expand it

5. include the flood

Here's the bottom line though. If it doesn't have an appeal to millions of people who have never played Halo or heard of Halo, it's not getting off the ground.

For this to work you need to show them that it will wokr for a project. So i call to evrybody here to make a Short Film with all our props and lets do our VFX.

They've just had trouble getting a director who can devote enough time and skill to do it justice. Not sure what the curent situation is because I get most of my info from the Halopedia page and that hasn't been updated in like 4 months.

Honestly I think James Cameron needs to do the Halo movie. He seems like kind of a nerd and respects the stories in games so I don't think he would -blam!- up the Halo story.
