I don't think they're on any, but this goes in the reach forum.

I haven't seen any. Remember, ONI uses the marathon symbol (I believe as insignia, but don't quote me on that). If it pops up, it is not necessarily just a plug to their old games.

No company that uses terms like, head-to-head, man-on-man, action-sack, and mancannon is homophobic.
I supposed that teabagging is.... what, a representation of a new form of colonoscopy?

Nope. If I understand it correctly, Bungie tried to cut back on Marathon symbols in Reach because of the break-up with M$. Since M$ technically owns Marathon (I think), Bungie didn't want to create any legal problems using IP which they no longer own.

M$ owns halo, not marathon... If M$ owned both, they would have had no reason to cut back on the symbols ;)

Are you sure about this?

This is kind of an older quote (2008) but:

Microsoft bought Bungie and all of its IP in 2000, except for the Myth and Oni IP, which went to Take 2 Interactive due to a pre-existing relationship with that company.

Interesting... But how would you explain the disappearance of the marathon logo usage in reach? If both IPs are M$'s property, there would be no problem in using it...

I guess since Microsoft and Bungie broke up, Bungie didn't want to take the chance of having Microsoft sue them for using IP which they don't own.

Games I like:,
Half-Minute Hero
MBU
Portal
Halo 3 is the best Halo ever
Maps I like: Turf, Avalanche, Pylon, Sandbox, Breakpoint and many more.

I have a theory. Remember in the opening scence of Reach when you start the game? It always says Microsoft corparation. If you miss the first skip section (Which is after microsoft corapration words) you have to wait until ANOTHER Microsoft area comes up. If anyone played Halo wars, I think Microsoft felt -blam!-ed because you could skip the microsoft part.

Using an IP (Marathon, which is, theoreticaly, M$'s property) on a M$ owned game (Halo Reach)... M$ could not sue them at all, after all if what you say is true, they are both M$'s games, not Bungie's.

Magic is magical, so are shoes... Along with plastic.
Don't forget to flush the toilet, because -blam!- stinks.

Part of the M$ and Bungie break-up involved Bungie reclaiming the Marathon IP. (found this out on wikipedia [search marathon])

Ya, I guess Bungie reclaimed Marathon. Sorry about the confusion.
