Duracell.
I don't keep going and going and going and...
but i Start, and just don't Stop.

So what if the saxophone is black?
it has better tone the the gold one.
damn straight i play Jazz.

So i'm reading cryptum and something just popped out for me.

The Human-San'Shyuum Empire.

at one point (10,000 years before the firing of the halos) the humans and the Prophets were not only allies, but ruled a JOINT empire.

Loveing the dramatic irony of it :)

agreed plus prophets are very weak
but intelligent. I am reeling with all the implications being detailed in this book.

Not to mention an incredibly "handsome" species at that. Things sure do change after awhile.

I am damn good with a rifle, and love peace and quiet.

I like how it was us who jumped the flood from being a harmless powder to being a full grown sh!7 storm.

And how we created a cure, and still managed to loose lol

well the humans beat the flood the first time.

then the forerunners beat the humans and couldn't beat the flood, so the built the halos.

this is quite an intriguing book

Althoug i would have prefered it if they had kept it to just seven halos, because of stuff like the 7 halo projections in the citadel (Halo 3) and when the hologram expands at the end of Halo 2.
If there were 12, it would have shown 12, as even though they were destroyed, and the forerunners went ahead with the use of the rings, the ark would have rebuilt them.

Some can come away from reading "War and Peace" thinking it a simple adventure story, while others can read the ingredients on a gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.

Yeah, I actually love the implications. The Humans at one point being just as powerful as the Forerunner (if not more so), and where extremely close to dominating the whole galaxy had they not been fighting a 2 sided war.

And they beat the Flood. I mean, that goes against everything we ever though possible before.

Actually, we won. The forerunners just took advantage of our period of exhaustion and attacked us full force. If we weren't fighting the flood, we would have won against the forerunners.

Well the reality is that Mendicant Bias was able to control 5 of the rings at a single time, which really means that of the 12, only 7 remained in Forerunner control. It's likely in the following books we'll see that they opted to destroy the 5 that MB took under his wing and stop reproduction on them due to the issues with re-issuing 5 brand new rings when 7 were still more then capable.

that and the desire to use the halos was dwindling

looks like they will eventually become desperate again
