You say magnum i say assault rifle.
You say DMR i say needle rifle
You say rockets i say rebecca black

I personally think that ODST, with a little more work, could have had some LIVE multiplayer stuff, as well as some DLC and expansions that would have made the game all the craze. I personally think the game's firefight maps are much more appealing and practical for the game type than what they made in Reach. and if they had the armor customization that Reach has then it would just be jaw dropping.

Does anyone else think this game could have been something truly and wholly more unique, or that it was a lost cause and simply a hold over for Reach form the get-go?

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I agree with what you said. Just a little more work and we could have multiplayer LIVE, DLC for maps and campaign missions, etc. This game is great, but it could have been amazing.

Yea, I'd like extra DLC missions that would be awesome. There could also be a Firefight map pack.

6/21/2011?

Multiplay would have been interesting, but too many people were working on Reach during ODST, so it would have not been possable to make a quality multiplayer experience.

I was hoping that ODST would have Firefight DLC, but I gave up on that dream, when the Reach Beta came out.

I completely understand the focus on Reach, but I forgot to mention I meant to assume that they were going one thing at a time, instead of multitasking with both games, but going from ODST directly into Reach, instead of the two games "overlapping"

I think Bungie made a big mistake by not turning their full attention on ODST. They had three years to work on Reach. They could have spent some more time to make ODST the greatest Halo. Then, they could've pushed the release date of Reach back a bit and came out with it then. No big deal. But, what happened happened and we can't change it, unfortunately.
