Subject: why didn't I think of this right away! Cryptum

OP I think you might be on to something. The only reason Master Chief and other Spartans can't be infected is their bodysuits underneath the outer Mjolnir plate armor. If Johnson descended from an ancient human with the artificial Flood-Killing gene, he would either be impossible to infect or he would cause the infection to go terribly wrong. Just because he is a Spartan I doesn't mean he couldn't have the flood-killing gene.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

Thank you, at least someone understood what I was getting at.

I'd like to add it is even possible all Spartans have this gene based on some accidental fluke when they were augmented a possible gene anomaly caused do to their alterations, or they were born with these traits already and that is one of the reasons they were genetically suitable for the spartan program.

If Dr Halsey didn't know about the flood when she was picking the spartan candidates, why would she pick children with an imuneity to such a threat?

you have terrible reading comprehension.

No where did I say what you just questioned -_-

It is simple use your small brain, The gene traits that made them compatible with her program possibly means they had the flood fighting trait, no where did I say Dr. Halsey new about it. -_-

I was using the Doc as an example.

I was clearly stating the fact that, you said, they were picked because they had the imunity to the flood.

See.

I am asking you why 'whoever' decided on the suitable reasons for candidates, would include the imunity to an yet unknow virus?

Online Gaming's pretty much like a zombie movie. There are a lot of mindless idiots roaming around but you find some survivors on the way.
My YouTube channel
If you're interested in vs threads, here's a sweet little group for you to join

For the idiots citing the Halo wiki to refute my theory please stop you look like an idiot, Halo wiki is not a source of canon and the assumption that Johnson is a S1 is that an assumption please stop the idiocy, only bungie or 343 can come out and say if he is or isn't
Your whole attitude of "Im right and everybody else is wrong" is quite frankly irritating. First of all you are completely denying legitimate proof from a number of resources and claiming that they are wrong and your right. first strike and contact harvest confirms that johnson is a spartan. (Not to mention halopedia but you just blatantly label that site incorrect even though there are links at the bottom of the page to where they got the information from). Grant you he is a very weak spartan but nonetheless a spartan. Please just think about what youre trying to claim here. Its just ridiculous.

EDIT: also there is a wiki editor here, he just basically "debunked" you.

- Dragon Ball/Z/GT and it's merchandise are awesome.
- All "abriged" parodies are hilarious.
- Humanity, as a whole, is stupid.
- I have asperger's syndrome
- This is the best used 20 seconds of your life
- Official helper to the Halo: Reach - The Armor You'll Be Wearing This Fall! Thread

Ahem.

The halo wiki is reliable, if you check the source it cites.

I damn well know that, and if you see something that somone vandilzed or put unsourced stuff in, link to the page, i'll fix it.

I spend a ton of time making sure it stays a good source.

Now then, your theory is reasonable, but flawed:

Yes, before, the idea that johnsons's boern syndrome was false was just a widely beilved, and incredble likely and backed iup thoery, not directly stated in canon.

However, this changed with the release of the Halo encyclopedia, which outright states it.

Now then, wait untill the rest of the forerunner triology comes out, you may be on to something still...

Love your friends, Die laughing.

Cryptum is a great book.

Every other halo book is a great one, too, i've read all of them.

Your theory is absolut crap. You don't have any proof to back up anything. You just have a bunch of assumption of your own.

technically Johnson was infected. its just the disease scrambled his imune systom not allowing the virus to take hold. Halsey said it in first strike that the virus is still inside him.JUST SAYIN!

here's an alternate explanation:

the librarian when preserving the human genes and species programmed this gene either into their gea's to rediscover it one day or to evolve to one day possess it again if the flood should ever again arise in the milkyway galaxy
