Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Buy this card.
That's a lot better than the ATI. For one, the ATI card supports up to DirectX 8.1.
To run a lot of todays games well, you need DirectX 9, and the Geforce 5500 I gave you does. That Geforce 5500 is the best card you can get for a PCI slot.

Actually, why don't you get this, then you don't have to worry about all those damn PCI, AGP, or PCI-E video cards.

I Have an X800XL-256 but that does not work to well with halo :-(
Hale seems to think that it has 512 mb. ram and the game crashes all the time.
I have 1.07 patch but it still does not work.
Hope it can be solved at some point

Well that's strange, Halo detects my X800XL just fine.

Except that it thinks that it's the 512mb version of the card.

BTW: That screenshot was taken at highest settings, 1280x1024, Decals, Specular, Shadows,.etc...however, notice the lack of Anti-Aliasing...

Hey darthbob, I couldn't help but notice that you don't seem to have Antisotropic Filtering enabled. Try enabling it in the CCC (someting like 4x). You'll notice a big difference!

Edit: Although the FX series Officially supports Dx 9, that support is poor at best. If you have the option, run any game using the the Dx 8 or Dx 7 rendering path for much better performance.

Any GeForce 6600 is a good midrange, but if your willing to go all the way then an eVGA 7800 GT.
