GRUMP !!!
BEP were right - tonight is a good night !
Great to have you back, old man. PM's to follow - my personal life is still shot and need sage advice. (chuckle)
Ah, what...topic...oh yeah, I hate to break it to the haters, but, it's all one game. You're free to like or dislike things or even installments, but, you sound like blamming idiots when you act like there are sides to be taken. (Save the hostility for the vastly overrated COD or Halo-hating Half Life)

Halo 2 for Life!

Have you ever played in a Halo 2 tournament, I have! And it is awesome. So don't pretend it's not sweet (unless you had a bad experience at a tournament and than tell that story to explain your dis-like of H2). I've also played Halo 1 system link and MP for it is Not very good (pistol users rain and as a single weapon used the whole time almost exclusively isn't balanced for fun over long period of time, I can out pistol you battles got boring fast

Combinations of weapons and duals made Halo 2 unique every time you got in skirmishes with groups of people or one on one or a mob of people coming at you in big team battle. It was intense it was cool, it was fun, so don't make it out be something it's not because you might have had a bad experience or whatever makes you dislike Halo 2 Please!

Don't even get me started on vehicles as Halo 2 had the very best of the best vehicles and maps to use them on and big team battle maps were perfect in design to promote combat of all kinds in all sorts of areas like no game before or since. It didn't force you to approach a situation a certain way, it promoted a certain way of doing things but no forcing ever occurred not like Halo 3 or Halo reach or Halo 1 or almost any other game I can think of!

The clash of two big team battle teams that have played the game for a very long time was epic and I was part of one such battle (and many others).

Like this game http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo2.aspx?gameid=265316 572&player=x09ajustice me (X09A Justice, also that is not my symbol but my brother that played a few games of halo2 after I gave him the account) and S1im Shady and our team took on ll Stuck ll and Capt Tom (this was before stand byers got into Big Team Battle ranked and made it less fun at high levels) and their team (at the time I was in the top 100 in the world at big team battle and Capt Tom was in the top ten in the world). It was a massive clash and I always remember ll Stuck ll doing a punch upward on a guy in the middle of the map (well I observed from a distance) that he misses and well he's propelled in the air completely over the other guys head he crouches in the air and at the same time looks down and smacks the guy in the head and well the body falls he lands on the body. Sickest kill I've ever seen in Halo and I wish I had captured it (it was very quick and was a BxB with the first beat down attempt missing and the second landing on the top of the head kill giving instant death).

They wanted to play us again after the tie but we didn't because we knew we were lucky.

Bottom line stop bad mouthing the best game in history!

Even if CE had online play it would have worse MP than Halo 2. Have you ever played system link Halo 1... It's not as good as the campaign... to say the very least.

Halo 2 system link tournaments, online, where ever was sweet!!!

I'd rather be a Halo:CE Supremacist.

I have actually played Halo: CE over LAN and it was immense fun IMO. Halo 2, at the end of the day, was an auto aim fest like all of the recent Halo games.

In Halo: CE you were responsible for actually shooting people yourself and the sandbox was solid.

I wish I weren't so young when this game was popular...I barely ever played it. I remember the scorpions, duel wielding needlers all the teleporters... I'm thinking of buying this game (seeing as its $10) just to play the campaign and hear the music. If only the servers were online.

If it was the best game in history, then why does it keep missing #1 in game magazines. Oh wait, it's not. Shocker.

Oh right, I don't have a rank 50 because maybe I have better things to do with my life then just jerking off over a video game.

If I was an addict, I could easily get to 50 in h3, I just play more then just halo. umad bro?
lol. You don't have a 50 because you're bad. Hell, you don't have a 25 because you're bad. You really don't even have to be any good at all to get at least a 40 in Halo 3. To have less than a 40 means you don't know anything about Halo gameplay, and as such have no valid opinion on the quality of Halo games.

Also, you don't have a positive Kill/Death ratio IN HALO: REACH because you are bad. Even if you only played 3 games per week because you "have a life" and "don't" spend hours trolling the H2 forums you could still manage a positive K/D.

You would probably want it to come back... Like I do.

My best time with gameing was with Halo 2, It is the best game, even though it has it's flaws. It was simple and addictive, and glitches like bxr and bxb did add some depth into the gameplay.
There are some things i would change, like removeing the auto aim and adjust the hitboxes, but Halo 2 was the closest of the Halo games to be the perfect experience imo.
I had fun with CE multiplayer too, but i didn't play it as much, but i rank it above Halo 3 and Reach.

As far as Multiplayer goes it would be like this:
Halo 2 > Halo: CE > Halo 3 > Halo : Reach
I started loosing interest in Halo 3. It was slower paced, the maps where poor, and they change some things i just prefered in Halo 2, like the ranking system with a little more fun ranks, like the uninspirering Halo 3 military ranks. I still today prefer symbols over players heads, instead of some nyumber.

Reach is not a bad game at all, but it went too far from it's roots. Stuff like Implementing armor abilities, HUGE maps (none of them even had the quality of one of the best H2 maps), reticle bloom and removing the BR was a bad idea.
It ran a little smoother than Halo 3 and is propperly techincal superior to Halo 3, good hitboxes and right with auto-aim, but i preferd Halo 3 because it was overall closer to Halo 2.

Campaign would probaly be:
Halo: 3 > Halo: CE > Halo 2 > Halo 3: ODST > Halo : Reach
Halo 3 and Halo:CE beeing very close (It was in Halo 3 i started to spit on Bungies invisible walls) and Halo 2 a little behind. Halo 2, Halo: CE had a lot of exploration and sweet eastereggs, Halo 3 did too, but it started to feel a little too restricted.
Halo 3:ODST had a interesting story and good music, not so Halo like, but good. It was a decent campaign.

Halo Reach was to me, a painfull experience. I was surprised to learn how scripted it really was, how much call of duty was implemented into it :( The colorpalette was...well not so much about colors. It was dark and boring. Overall there are so many graphcal errors, it's not as polised as the previous games. I also had high hopes with the music with Marty O'donnal beeing behind it and all, but this is first Halo game where i think it was meh, very meh. Campaign alone would get a 7/10 from me, ODST beeing a little above. The other Halo games would all gain 8/10 and above.

Imo it's a good thing Bungie is not making Halo anymore. It appears to me they are bored with Halo, and just don't put the same effort in it as they used to.
That beeing said, im very excited about what they are going to create next.

Halo 2 for Life!

Halo 2 resembled life so well and that is why it was awesome. No other game had the sensations of jumping so right on, the way of movements it was really a master piece of human ingenuity. All other halo's resembled robots or unrealistic fluids moving around an environment that didn't interact in meaningful ways like halo 2 did. Like lifeless elements other halo's felt unforgiving and un-interacting (like one was a lifeless object carried in the wind) and halo 2 felt full of life like interactions (like one was a bird in the wind interacting with other birds etc). An achievement that will be remembered for a long time is Halo 2.

In complete overall honesty;

I'm a Halo 2 fanatic. The ranking system was at optimum level - even over Halo: Reach. Reach is an individualized game where it's every man for himself. You get players that either, "Yoink!" or have others work for the kill, then when they die, take that kill. Playing as a team, and working with other people, such as clans, (which was a HUGE thing that they got rid of - goodbye KSI and other trivial clans) and was definitely harder to level up.

The major reason why people stopped playing Halo 2, (or kept playing) was because of standbyers, hackers, and what not. Why not keep Halo 2 going, with better graphics, the system they use now, and the same weapons as before. Although, I do like the new extra things, such as; sprint(!), evade(!), jetpack, armor lock, etc. and it tricks my mind knowing that Halo: Reach was before Halo CE, and yet they don't have them anymore. I know they pulled the Star Wars thing, where they did the prequals after all the old movies had been made, and it was a fantastic idea, but now they should update the originals with new versions.

I haven't played in any tournaments, but have played with MLG players and have been able to hold my own, (in all modesty, lose by 10+, with a K/D ratio of -5). Haha. It took skill in Halo 2. The snipers didn't have a delay, like they do in Halo: Reach, and they did have a few button glitches (BxR, double/quad-shot, etc.) but I think now they can remake all that and make sure that everything's the exact same. Same maps, and same materials/locations, everything, just better graphics.

I have faith in you Bungie to make the right decision!

Reach's ranking system was so incredible boring. It was a good idea to unlock armor (although it's way too slow).
I'd get than Bungies idea was that if people couldent see their ranks, then there would be no boosting and less cheating.

Guess what though, i'd take visible ranks any day. Where is the fun in ranking, if you can't see it? I know some people say it's just a number, but it's not just that, otherwise people woulden't be so obsesed about it lol.
Instead of making it invisible, Bungie should instead have adressed the problems that could have occured.

Either way it woulden't have made much of a difference to me in Reach. Halo is not what it used to be.

Im glad the rumored Halo:CE remake is on it's way though, that should be a refreshing Halo experience.

Nono, nonononono please no! :)

Halo 2 shoulden't have any of that. 1) Because Halo 2 have the complicity it needs, and 2) Halo 2's maps are mostly small maps, that works very well as it is now. Halo: Reach maps was build around armor abbilities, which made pretty much all of the feel like BTB maps. Im still not sure why Bungie had to make all their maps that big.
What I would like, is to see more options in a Halo 2 remake, like forge, more customization in the gamemodes and that.
But all those armor abbilities, please keep them in Reach.

Reach is better then h2 as well...the only people who defend h2 are the same people who played 5 min at a friends house without seeing all the flaws that broke it.

You call 517 games of Halo 3 a lot? lol

Also, you failed to tell me why you troll these forums from the 2 questions I gave you about it.

And I can tell you, I have played 6713 matches of Halo 2 on this account alone. If you count my other accounts, I had over 11,000. Let me tell you this, when I first got XBL, I was plain awful at Halo 2. However, I just loved playing and trying to get better at the game. And I did. Just because you suck at the game doesn't mean it is bad.

Also, you call MLG people "nerds". Really? People who play in MLG get PAYED to play stupid. Who would turn down the opportunity to get payed a lot while enjoying a great game?
