I'm trying to run Halo on my 360 using a VGA cable to my LCD TV. No matter which resolution I try, I get the message 'This game does not support your current display settings'.

Can anyone help? I though Halo 1 & 2 were playable in HD.

Do you have an LCD computer moniter? Try hooking the VGA cable to one instead.

Hi there, I presume you're from the UK like me. In which case Halo will NOT run using the VGA cable and an LCD television / monitor.

As far as I can gather it's to do with the fact that the XB360 outputs Halo at it's original 50Hz which monitors do not like. This will be the same for all UK PAL 50Hz games.

So much for the trumpeted backward compatability - surely someone could have spotted this schoolboy error? As per usual, my support ticket with MS has gone unanswered.

I actually bought Halo especially as I had never owned an original XBox - should be getting used to wasting money on the 360 by now!

Hi, i'm not from Uk but from France but the problem's still the same. I had never owned an original XBox too, so i'm obliged to play on my TV with standard cable, but anyway halo stays incredible, even in low rez ;).

Im having the exact same problem, have a VGA cable which is hooked upto my monitor. The monitor can play all the 360 games fine in full res but the xbox can't handle playing H2 on any modes.

The CRT can easily handle any Hz the game needs so why doesn't it work??!!
