ok lol, I'm here. Sorry it's just that now I spend most of my time over at the halo.bungie.org forum. Anyways, I'll try and find a suitable email address to send it to, I think I can at the very least find Frankie's email, probably the best choice, but if you haven't already PM Frankie as well, SketchFactor too if you can.

-jman571, teh Maw master

P.S okay I have to get off the computer now, but I'll email him first thing when I come home from school tommorrow, good luck ;)

So let me get this straight; you want us to PM both Frankie and Sketchmaster, or you want us just to PM Sketchmaster because you are already e-mailing Frankie? Sorry, your post was a little hard to understand. Oh and if no one has done it who would like to? I might if no one else speaks up.

I would love to take part in this. I have kind of a crazy schedule with work and all, but if theres room count me in. I have a half-ways decent computer and a broadband internet connection.

It would make sense to do this on a Bungie server. They have been pretty reliable lately, with little lag.

If we can get them to play on the Bungie servers and ME=King shows up they will get to experience the problem first hand, then maybe do something about it.

Guys i've already sent messages to both sketchfactor and frankie through the bungie messages, but somone said they rarely check them so it would be great if you could contact them through e-mail jman (only if you don't mind) if you do please mention this thread and its location : )

alright I'm back from school and will now venture forth and find Frankie's email, so I can send him this message. Also, yes I wanted you to PM both Frankie and Sketchfactor as either one could organise something like this. However if you have not gotten a reply yet I will indeed go and email Frankie instead.

Alright jman as for that e-mail send it! but remember to mention this thread and its location : ) though sadly i think we need to match bungie's team and not outnumber it so also ask them how many they will play with,we may need to cut some people : (

Alright the email is sent, I can only hope now that that was indeed his real email and that he considers our propsal. I told him he can either reply by emailing me back or by commenting in this thread (which I linked to). I wrote the email quite properly, so I hope he takes us seriously. Two of the initial ideas I wrote were to either host an open-house game on one of the Bungie servers at a pre-determined time, or to host a custom game, with a set password. My biggest concerns, however, are A: that not many people at Bungie even play Halo PC, or B: now that they're working on their next project they won't have time to play us. I told him that if be, we could work out the logistics of it.

Now, we can only hope.

Well, while we are waiting, it would be best for us to work out how this is going to happen if they agree. For instance, we must consider:

1. What levels we are going to use
2. What types of gameplay will be used (we'll probably have to rotate through snipers' games, shotty lovers' games, vehicle games like those on death island, etc.)
3. Whether we will do this on a Bungie server or make an entirely new dedicated server/have somone change their server to fit our needs
4. If there are going to be some Bungie people playing, it will only be a certain amount, and we'd need to have tryouts to see who are the best to go in and play them.

I think bungie should host it and lock it to a password they can tell us.

ok for numbers 1 to 2 I'd have to say that we should let Bungie decide the maps and gametypes. In the last few Humpday Challenges because of the ability of most of the people they play Bungie finally decided to choose which maps they play with. So because most of us have been playing Halo PC for quite some time now, while the people from Bungie have probably not; then we should defenitely let them choose the maps and gametypes, it's only fair.

this brings me to #4. I highly doubt Bungie will need to exclude people from this. If anything there will be a lack of people to play with. I don't know if many people from Bungie even play Halo PC, hopefully some of them still have disks. If we need to exclude anybody it would have to be us. Perhaps we can select about 20 people and decide to rotate them in. Or, if we go the route of an open-house game there might be time restrictions on how long a player can play for, because if they simply host an open game on a Bungie server, word will get out, and the only people who will get a chance to play Bungie will be the ones who get to the server first.

Finally, as for #3 I think we should let Bungie host this game, whether it'll be set up on a Bungie server or an entirely new server, they should host. One of the advantages that comes with working for a high-tech software company is that you get ridiculously fast internet, I'm sure they could easily host a 16 player game if need be.

Ohhh haha, I guess I totally misworded #4! I meant it exactly as you thought it SHOULD be in that we will have to have tryouts/rotate players in to be able to play Bungie, since they will have so few players. I don't believe an open house game would work, just because anyone could jump in, cuss some people out, and leave, prompting Bungie to give the whole thing up. Of course, as someone has already said, it would be totally AWESOME to see ME=KING come into a game and then be massively taken down when Bungie players see what he's doing...haha that'd be great! But I like the rotation idea best.

Oh, and are you saying that Bungie might have trouble keeping up with other players, that's why they'd need the advantage of getting to choose the maps and gametypes? Haha, well maybe some of them are rusty at the first Halo, but I'm willing to bet that some of them are REALLY good!
