Not a boss, the concept of the video game 'boss' went out when there were more than 16 bits.

Play as a team win as a team or die as a team!

Not on Ninga Gaiden they had tons of bosses.

There definately shouldnt be a boss unless you count defeating the whole covenant race a boss. all the covenant are there for a reason.

A simple unlockable multiplayer color skin for each of the campaign difficulties.
Eg. - Finish Legendary, get Gold color for MC (or a shiny ebony black.)
Something to show online you've beaten Halo on the hardest difficulty level.

the closest thing i can imagine to be a boss is going one on one against a wraith(or whatever the covie tank is called) in a small room just with different music...

and i remember seeing an image from the the history of Halo where there are dinasaur looking things inhabiting Halo... that'd be weird.

I would like to see that if you could play as an elite, once you hit a certain amount of kills you raise in rank. Going form blue to red and so on.

A boss would be okay, but it's not like Halo to do that. Maybe a small boss is what I'm thinking, like when you first face the Hunters and you hear that music and you think, What now? then you see the two huge beasts just start blasting Fuel Rod ammo at you. Anyway something like that with a little more power and armor, not easy to kill in other words.

The hunters having that exposed it a tactical thing, because u gotta dodge the fuel rod, dodge the rushing attack, get aroud them, and pump a bulletm in there, or if u like to have fun, make 1 kill the other =D Melee them in the back a bunch Make 1 ram into the other.. u know, the important stuff(Caboose)

I think it would be cool if there were newer, harder variants of Elites. Maybe white Elites with TWO plasma swords would make the game more challenging. But bosses aren't fun unless they make sense. I mean come on: "Chief, it's an Elite five times stronger than the others, for no reason. Oh, and he has a weapon, that none of the others have." "Yes, it makes so much sense that I'm NOT going to vomit." Moral of today's story, boys and girls, unless they're there for a reason (like the plotline or something important) don't add bosses. The end. As far as you know.

a boss where you have to fight a couple of brutes with nothing but a pistol without ammo in hand... it'll be a fist fight...

The Hunters are the easiest Covanent in Halo to kill, once you get within melee range.
They charge, you circle strafe and pump one pistol shot into their back.
Disappointing.

Well, in this guy's defense, Halo didn't have "Bosses" but they had situations that had the same feel. It's Halo's strength that you got everything you liked from previous games in new and refreshing ways.

Instead Halo gives you certain adverse situations as "bosses" like the end of Two Betrayals when you face the enemy or the first time you encounter the flood in that sealed room.

I wouldn't be adverse to seeing a more traditional boss once in a rare while though I doubt we'll see one. Imagine racing across a desert wasteland or frozen tundra in your warthog and a few marines when a giant worm straight out of Dune erupts near you and takes you on. I wouldn't want to see traditional bosses often, but once in a rare while they wouldn't be too bad.

One problem with bosses is that you can't have a recurring elite enemy that shows up at every turn to drive you nuts. Cool as that would be. One plasma tag and you'd not have to worry about him for the rest of the game.

A boss would be stupid. Bosses died out A LOOOOOONG time ago.And Halo was fine WITHOUT the bosses.

Now, I'm not going to say bosses would be a bad idea... ok, yes I am. I really don't like bosses. But points in the game like the first time you face hunters that sorta feel like boss moments are fine.

Also, I'd like to see... really... cool stuff... ok, I've got nothing. I just want to see it.

No bosses. Ever. Let Halo be Halo. Not some average FPS with damned bosses. And let Bungie do what they do best. Make Halo seem like you are in a war, not some thing of a child's imagination for a SNES game.

I don't want any bosses either. What I loved about Halo was the Gameplay Freedom. you could choose between a rocket launcher or sniper, ghost or warthog, and the levels were HUGE. And huge is good. The levels on Halo are at least twice as big as your average FPS.

a boss would ony be OK if it was built right, and it fit into the Halo storyline. nothing like some huge-ass bug from metroid. maybe like that elite with the two swords. he could be some freaky flaming ninja type guy like jackie chan or bruce lee. the gold sword elites were already a pain in the ass because they could jump so damn far, and they ran so damn fast, and they were tough to kill, and they were sometimes tough to hit while they were running around.

only this guy could be like twice that, and guarding one of the top prophets or something like that. just, make it challenging enough that its not a cakewalk like grunts on easy or normal, but maybe easy enough so that we don't dread playing the level (kinda like library).

ugh... i'm really tired... i'm going nuts... good night... *zzz*
