They dropped support in 09, which is actually not too bad.

Nope. I don't even see a reason why they would. The only reason out there is to stop hackers, but, as Sawnose said in the 1.09 release thread "We're not going to fight a war with hackers on an outdated game." 1.08/1.09 were sign off updates. Good ones, too.

I don't know about regular Halo PC, but on Custom Edition, there are no cheaters. But a lot of people use dev for lolz - running with x20 speed on Coldsnap can be quite fun sometimes xD

My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Asking for a new patch is the same as Microsoft's self-destruction.
It's never going to happen, unless there was a hacker on a server-crashing spree.

And then someone would make a hacked exe without the exploits.

And then (most likely) an official patch would be rolled out. 1.08 and 1.09 were updates to fix exploits that allowed a malicious user to crash peoples servers. There are still some exploits people can take advantage of in 1.09 to crash servers that haven't been made public or found by malicious individuals yet. Hopefully these exploits never publicly surface so a new patch isn't required, because every time a new patch comes out the games code is altered enough that old apps for the game cease to work.

Gandanur patches those private crash exploits.
