*raises glass* Here's to many more years to come and the survival of the forums when Bungie announces their next project!

Oh God. Hey Bungie can you put off the announcement of your new project as far as possible.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

If I'd have joined when I first started coming to bnet, I would be just about the same age as you, elmicker. I should've.

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

I am 7 months and counting...or at least I try. Made a similar post in the flood and I thought I was 6 months but was 7, which coincidently is Bungie's number, and it was a running joke/mess after that.

yes i suppose that would. The most surreal thing to happen on these forums that i think would have to have been, "ponders" i remember the day before halo 2 was announced, all was quiet everyone new everyone else. We were having a convo about parachutes and if they would be a good idea in the game (i started that thread) and we ended it after an hour discussion. The next morning after the announcement it was PANDMONIUM (spelling). New people left and right, and rear and flaming and oh it was ugly. The old forums rocked hard though, i loved them. But i guess all good things must come to an end.

ahh we are deterring from the bday boy up yonder. My bad, got emotinal for a tic.

I remember that thread! I was wondering if you could use them out the back of the pelican! After halo 2 was announced I retreated to MSXL. I think a lot of us did hid in our chapters, escaping the chaos of all the new people.

I was just a little nooble at that time, with the spelling to match. ;)

Ha ha stanman has been foiled by the great ferret. Soon he shall start a ferret army and take down the legions of the dark forces. ferret will be the leader and he will use his 1337 ferret skillz to end the fight once and for all.

or he just went home to sit on his ass watching conan and eating cheesy poofs.

I think I may remember that. Someone kept making the point that Master Chief weighs over 900lbs, if I'm thinking of the right one.
