Yes, because then it would have been much better then the final, and would not have felt as rushed.
The game may have looked rushed in the beginning but that was only if you played online before title update 1.1
After that, problems were fixed and the game was great.
But the point of this thread was if you wished it was a launch title just so the game would still be online. No, none of the things that he is thinking of when saying that the game was unfinished could have ever been fixed in a title update. The game was great fun, definitely the greatest title on the original Xbox (I like Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC more than Halo 2, though) but it still felt completely unfinished because it was. Even Bungie feels the same way about that.
I would have loved if it were a launch title for the 360. First of all, it would still be online today and it would have been made greater than Halo 2 was. It's a shame that it was rushed out the door by Micro$oft to compete with some other game that I'm pretty sure 98% of us don't even know. The thing is, though, that things did turn out well for the Halo series. I love each and every Halo. Some of the things that were unfinished about Halo 2 made the game extremely fun. For example, the super jumps. The glitches in Halo 2 were extremely fun for someone like me who didn't get much of a chance to ever play online.
TL;DR = Basically, I love how the game came out, but, I would have really enjoyed seeing how it turned out if it wouldn't have been rushed out the door by Micro$oft.
