Planning the cosmos for a healthier future.

Hey, I've finally joined the ranks of matchmaking Quitters. For over 1,000 games, I usually just got pissed when a teammate quit. Now, I finally have realized why players quit, and I am joining this club. Sand-bagging hustlers who keep their rank far below their true skill, players who manipulate the service, gamers who play only to betray teammates at the start, and Bungie that has set up button combos that allow players to stand in mid-air one minute and 15 feet away in a nano-second. None of this makes the online experience "fun," and it just isn't worth the time to "stand in there and suffer it out." So, I'm joining the Club, and you can, too. Any new members out there?

You mean, off-base or unreasonable? Maybe, but with an IQ of 140, I'm not "dumb." If you have a good retort, I'm game for a good argument about the "Club." Again, my point is, why would someone deliberately subject themselves to some of the online shennanigans unless they are a masochist? With nothing at stake, better just to quit and find a good game.

I quit when the connection is bad. If the connection is bad and I'm winning I'll stay. But if I start losing I'll quit and blame the connection =)

If the connection is good I'll stay no matter what the result is.

Maybe you are a really good player with a high skill level, so bad behaviors by others don't really affect you or others with similar abilities. I'm a mediocre player, and players who hustle, betray, or manipulate aren't worth my time as the outcome is never in question from the start. So, it's more like a "fix" than a game.

Dude I used to have a booster tag.... I deranked slayer snipers and MLG. But you dont do it for no reason, its so you can boost people to a 50. Deranking serves no other purpose, and imo people who do it for no reason arent worth the time to even send a message. Not to mention they are usually terrible.

If that is directed to me, sure, I understand deranking as a concept. A BAD concept that's contrary to all the tenents of good play. I guess if it makes deranked players feel better about themselves, O.K. They probably only played sports in high school against kids in junior high and felt good about their "accomplishments" then as well. Or, cheating at cards. Or, well, you get the idea. Liars, cheaters, and thieves make good company to some . . .

I don't get boosting, either. How can it be enjoyable to play dozens of levels above your actual skill because you got "boosted." So what if you're a level 50 -- if you still play like a level 20, what's the benefit. You still get creamed by superior players. Sheesh. And, that still doesn't explain when you have a whole team of 8 who play Social games as non-coms but are all level 50s.

IDGAF what they do with the 50, as long as they pay me it doesnt matter. You can call me a liar or cheater, but this is one lying cheater that is better than you anyway...

If that makes you feel better about yourself, go for it.

Would you mind telling me what you actually do with all those MS points people pay to get boosted? I mean there's only so many gamerpics/themes you can buy before the novelty wears off, and I wouldn't waste my time to boost somebody just so I can pimp out my xbox dashboard.

Here's Forty Shillings on the Drum,
For those who Volunteer to come,
to list and fight and fall today
over the hills and far away

My question is why are you playing a game to quit? Couldn't you just be playing another game or doing something more useful?

Well some people just don't want to try getting a 50 on their 1st account, as it is too difficult because of their exp. Or they are getting paid to do it as meags said above I guess. Although I don't think I could ever boost people for money, it would be turning something I do for recreation into work.
