Subject: Unmanned Drone Sabre?

While messing around in Anchor 9 I recently noticed that the Sabre in the maintenance area appears to have no cockpit, which made me wonder I'd Sabres could be remote/AI operated. I know that the Sabre in question was partially disassembled (it's wing engines are in cart on the groud) but it seemed unlikely that a cockpit could be fitted to that particular Sabre. Sorry I don't have any pictures but it's relatively easy to check out. So what do you guys think?

Intolerance is the highest level of stupidity and inbred thinking.

I don't know for sure, I don't know much when it comes to AIs and their abilities, but I am pretty sure that and AI would be more then capable of flying a Sabre. Granted though, a dumb AI probably would make a poor pilot because of the lack of creativity, but put a smart AI in the "cockpit" and I'm sure it could out pilot and Spartan or any other kind of pilot.

So to answer your question, I would say yes, it is possible. I'd bet money on that fact.

It's probably just some graphical limitation of some sort where they didn't want to render the cockpit completely. Pelicans since Halo CE have been shown with their cockpits "filled" with random looking interiors to fill up the space despite being room for a cockpit there. Even the falcons were lazily done up in Reach where their cockpits wouldn't be detailed despite being so in a prior cutscene such as Winter Contingency.

That makes sense, but why wouldn't they just put a blacked out canopy to cover the lack of a real cockpit? I would think that they would want to cover their own "laziness" instead of just showing a weird looking thing instead of a cockpit.

Would probably have to do with the geometry. Rather than having a dip down or hill up they settled for that flat platform.
