I like Splinter Cell. The AI is pretty stupid, and there's rarely a level where I keep an enemy alive (or conscious).. but I like it.

But being forced to do stuff like this isn't what Halo is about.

Oh well, If you don't like stealth games don't buy them... I'm not crazy about them but I will play them.

I like the idea of having different ideals on how to handle each situation...

if by stealth you mean making the level interactable, such as shooting out lights, stleath is fine. however if by stealth as in splinter cell, sticking to walls and such than that would be horrible. halo is fps/action genre not stealth/action/fps like splinter cell. splintercell is good, even going back to the days of old tenchu that is good, but there is a trend in games with stealth, the action is horrible. when you get caught your melee attack is worthless. did you ever get into a fight in splinter cell? its like sam fisher is trying to mimic the mortal combat uppercut.
i recently played a first person shooter that had martial arts in it along with a backflip and side roles. in my oppion that is obsurd. your there to shoot someone in the head mainly, not rolling on the floor dodging bullets. i hate in videogames how when you back against walls you see a 3rd person shot of a guy and around the corner that you arnt looking down.

Bungie have said that stealth can be used but it wont be necessary. There have been reports of being able to shoot out lights and silenced weapons to aid this thoght they haven't been 100% confirmed

See, I don't mind stealth, but if it was ever truly required, I'd be kinda irritated.

I'd rather battle my way through to the bitter end where either I or every single one of those Covie Bastards lies dead.

Well they are going to have peek but i doubt it will need to be used like in Rainbow Six. Its still going to feel like Halo dont worry.

Stealth is OK, just as long as Halo doesn't turn into Splinter Cell. Also i would prefer using what both at your will not just having to beat a level using only one tactic.
