Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Probably. Depends on what it is.

They have a pretty good track record so far. I think I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I wish I could say yes like the previous post, but I gave Bungie the benefit of the doubt with reach.

:/

I suppose if the next game played more like Bungie's previous games then ya.

Seriously Oak, Ive been doing this -blam!- for 16 years, gimmie my Friggen starter Pokemon and dont call me till im the champion! ¬_¬

Hard to say without any media on their new project

Im not a COD fan, in fact im basing half my media coursework trying to argue that it corrupts young adults in a desensitised opinion of war, overglorifying it and basically telling them "You'll either come home a hero or go down in a blaze of gunfire and glory"

Annnnnyway, Bungie seem about 33% likely to be heading that way, what with signing a deal with activision, but i think its fair to say bungie are dedicated to what they do, and probobly wont go down that route, hell they've avoided every corner of human killing they can to stay off the "Video games train serial killers" bandwagon (Which is why we NEVER got to fight insurgence in these games!)

Only time will tell, but im guessing despite this issue, ill probobly play it anyway

Anyway my current speculation is a hybrid, a call of duty style game, set about 200 years prior to the halo events, early UNSC, maybe even before they were the UNSC :P

THE WAT3RM3L0N CH1N!!!

Honestley i want 2 say yes but w/out the halo franchise it really depends on the type of game Bungie dishes out.

The U.E.S.C. Marathon emblem that appears on my profile was designed by me and picked by Bungie [Bungie All-Star competition] to be available for use by anyone on the Bungie forums.

Uhmm... Just because Bungie does not own Halo, doesn't mean they could make another game. I'm quite sure Microsoft would be happy to see Bungie making Halo games, and they propably never wanted for Bungie to quit on Halo.

My speculation is that Bungie wants to try something new, look at Marathon for example, it was an excellent well succeeding game, they went out and made Halo which got even more attention. No matter what Bungie does next, I'm pretty sure they have set their goals high.

Looking at Bungies "7 steps to world domination", Bungie could not achieve step 7 on a single platform... I'm speculating that they want to make something bigger then Halo.

Let's be honest, it could be a lot worse.

I always buy new Bungie games and you guy I'm responding to, I and many others simply don't like COD because it sucks and is a kick in the balls to video games in general

Depends on the game. I like Bungie, but I love Halo. Bungie put lots of strange undertones in Halo which I don't like, so unless their next game looks good, I'll give it a miss.

As long as it's not an MMO I'll most likely buy it.

hahahahahah, whew had to catch a breath. So thanks everyone for replying. I agree that as long as they let Bungie have around 50% of the control over what type of game it will be, I think it will be a great new step in gaming(high expectations Bungie, no pressure) Last thing, who answered "No" on a Bungie forum?

I am a practicing traditional Catholic.

All things being equal, yes. Depends on what it is of course. If it's as good (or nearly as good) as their Halo games than I'll be right in line!
